    Yes. A classic...

Talking about 93Q brings back some memories... John Lander and the Q Morning Zoo, Mr. Leonard, Cleat Dumpster, the Tookie (sp?) Bird...

    Candyman tell 'em the truth
We'll still end up knockin the boots

    At each and every show
    theres this groupie
always knows what she wants to do to me
    she knows my name
    knows every rap routine
but how'd she get in my limousine

The day John and 93Q packed up and moved on was one of the saddest days of my life. Up to that point, I had never once listened to KRBE.

Now I'm actually diggin' Sam Malone's program. Makes me laugh out loud usually 1-2 times per morning.

Nope...just bought the reissue/remaster of 3 Feet High & Rising, easily one of the top 5 rap albums ever made, came with a second cd of remixes & whatnot. Good stuff.

Too hot to handle, too cold to hold
They're called the Ghostbusters and they're in control
Had 'em throwin' a party for a bunch of children
While all the while, the slime was under the building
So they packed up regrouped, got a grip came equipped
Grabbed the protons packs on their back, and they split
Found out about Vigo, the master of evil
Try to battle my boys? That's not legal

This Bobby Brown classic ("On Our Own") is currently on the CD I'm listening to in my car, along with such greats as "My Prerogative", "Don't Be Cruel", "Roni", and "Every Little Step"

Yo Kango, I don't think that you're dense
Buy you went about the matter with no experience
You should know, she doesn't need a guy like you
She needs a guy like me, with a high IQ
And she'll take to my rap, cause my rap's the best
The educated rapper MD will never fess
So when I met her, I wasted no time
But stuck up Roxanne paid me no mind
She thought my name was Barry, I told her it was Gary
She said she didn't like it so she chose to call me Barry
She said she'd love to marry, my baby she would carry
And if she had a baby, she'd name the baby Harry
Her mother's name is Baby, which is really quite contrary
Her face is really hairy, and you can say it's scary
So isn't not every, her father's a fairy
His job is secondary, in some military
He throws them to an ?electric camp? that wasn't voluntary
His daughter's name is Sherry, his sons are Tom and Jerry
Jerry had the flu but it was only temporary
Back in January, or was it February?
But everytime I say this rhyme it makes me kinda weary
It's only customary to give this commentary
Some say it's bad, some say it's legendary
You can search all you want, try your local library
You'll never find a rhyme like this in any dictionary
But do you know, after all that
All I received was a pat on the back
That's what you get, it happened to me
    Ain't that right Mixmaster I-C-E

"boom i got yo boyfriend, i got yo man (i got 'em)"

Ah yes, the decade-long Houston Top 40 war that was "93Q" and "104 KRBE". Glen Beck was actually the morning man on KRBE before Paul Barsky who was before Sam Malone. The same Glen Beck that's syndicated nationally and is heard on 950 KRPC these days. Interesting little tidbit.

    UTFO...great lyrics!!!

Here's something that might be a bit harder to remember...

I went to a game to see the LA Raiders
I couldn't get out of those little elevators
I tried to get out, I was doing my part
Then all of sudden I thought I had to.....go eat a hotdog.

    Driving down the highway
    Girlies behind me
    Jockin' blindly
    No need to remind me
Who i am i know you know me
Stop screamin' and yellin' and pointin' i'm low key
No i ain't got no time for a picture
    But slide your number
    And i'll get wit ya
