i forgot the name of the place, but if you go on 290 and exit skinner and make a u-turn it's on the right. they charge $150 on weekdays and $100 on weekends for CHL.
did CHL prices go down?? i remember the prices were roughly around $250 last time I checked. this place called top gun range is alot nicer than the place i mentioned above and its only $135. http://www.topgunrange.com/ Sorry Im a nub, I think I know whats wrong. These places don't include the Texas state license fee which I think the other places for $250+ do.
You can apply online here with the DPS (they handle it in Texas). The state charges $140.00, which is nonrefundable. Once you pay, you must complete the other requirements within a year. Before you pay you have to answer a series of questions which determine basic eligability to apply. Once you apply online the DPS will send you a packet in the mail within a week or so. You then need to take a 10 hour course and pass a basic accuracy test at the end. You also need to get two fingerprint cards (one for DPS & one for FBI) and two passport photographs, and finally you need to have a notary witness your signing of affidavids that say you understand the laws relating to CHL.
Check out Texas CHL forum, they have all kinds of great info about classes and such. http://texaschlforum.com
{hangoutwrench} Because if there's one thing we need, it's a bunch of discount handgun training and licensees!{/hangoutwrench}
If you have to ask on the internet for the cheapest place to get a license, you have no business carrying a gun.
If you only read and reply to topics and not the message in the subject, you have no business replying in threads.
