Let's not forget 2005... this series is FAR from over

I know we like to act like we're a part of the team or even think we have an impact, but we don't. I know the players are going to be focused and concentrate 1 game at a time

 

I think Dirk has one good game left in him (probably Game 3), but I can't see dallas winning both at home.

If I had to predict, I'd say dallass wins Game 3 with an all-out effort, then we adjust and win Game 4, then close it out at home next week.

If Howard is playing 30 minutes a game, dallass doesn't have a chance.

Rockets in 5.

 

The key for next game is for our wings to hit their shots. We will keep involving Dirk on the PNR and they will adjust by sagging off our shooters to help out on the Harden drive. As long as we can hit the shots, we'll take next game. We should be involving Dirk on EVERY EFFING PLAY.

 

Dallas just doesnt have the personnel that can match up...Its quite evident after games one and two..

Yes there is never a moment I forget about 2005, but there are way too many contributing vets on this team that will allow something like that to transpire. Besides we havent seen James Harden click yet.

Mavs and their fans are going to be looking to save face. The Mavs are tough at home, but thats when your MVP is supposed to carry you. I predict James Harden goes off in game 3.

 

James wasn't able to get by Jefferson or Felton in Game 2. Never thought I'd see that.

 

I want to thank Cuban for waking up our bench. As far as 2005.. quit bringing it up like it was legit. It was rigged.

 

Tyson Chandler is a great defensive player and a beast on the pick and roll, but he has no chance against Dwight with so little support around him for help defense. I actually felt bad for him (not really) as I watched Dwight and Josh murder that Dallas defense.

I know people have said that Aldridge might go to Dallas and pair up with Dirk next year. That would be AWFUL for Dallas. Dirk is so bad on defense now that even an elite interior defender can't cover for him.

 

Harden's the kind of player where if you watch enough tape, he would have a hard time getting by you. Fortunately, we don't need Harden breaking down their defenders to win this series.

 

Who is he supposed to guard on those ally-oops? Smith or Howard? He can't guard them both and he's getting no help from anyone else.

I really feel bad for him.*

Yeah, this Dallas team is truly terrible. Their lineup is old is washed up. Sure they can hang for short stretches, but over the course of 100 possessions, they're just not good enough. That's not to say we won't cough up a game or two, or that I'm confident we'll beat Clippers/Spurs.

 

I think dallass was a great draw for us, considering we have 2 pissed off ex-mavs on the team - both of whom are playing with a huge chip on their shoulder.

 

2005 was different because game 2 was a close game and they had JET. Neither is true about this series.

 

McGrady was amazing in the 05 series. Balled out offensively and guarded Dirk. Revisionist history over here...

I don't think Terry is pissed off. He didn't leave on bad terms. He just joined Boston after talking to Cuban about it and wanting to continue to contend.
He will have his jersey retired with the Mavs.

 

I dislike McGrady but I have to admit, when Mike James is your third leading scored in the series, your f***ed! It was also a very bad defensive team. No Battier, Chuck wagon, or Arrest...grrr Artest. Needed the supporting cast from the 08-09 season.
