Before signing with the Spurs, Aaron Baynes has been playing for Union Olimpija from Slovenia. He outmuscled anyone he played against, rebounded well and was a fierce competitor. His temperament made him a fouling machine and sometimes one had to wonder about his basketball IQ. Despite that he was a great player for our league.

But I never saw him as an NBA player and was quite surprised when Spurs signed him. Especially because I felt he had limited offensive skills and unless he has developed some in two years since Spurs signed him, I fail to see what can he bring to the table as Spurs' backup center.

Clips can show that they have grown a pair. Enough talent... needs execution to win 3 games straight

Me too. Unlike Clippers, Spurs don't have to double Harden.

    Clippers played harder longer.

"Their aggressiveness and physicality hurt us," Popovich said. "It wasn't just Jordan, it was all of them.

Their defense was amazing. Let's see if they can keep it up.

The Clippers had a blowout and still played their starters 37 minutes average. Griffin played 43 minutes in a blowout. Think about that.

Either they are really scared of the Spurs or their bench is trash.

Bench is trash and well, they'll have 2-3 days of rest.

If this was a boxing match, it seems like the Clippers are going all out for that early knockout and the Spurs are fighting for that Win by decision.

Clippers destroyed OKC in the first game of the series when they played them.....

And then proceeded to get destroyed for a nice fishin' trip.

    Just sayin.....

People are giving too much respect to the Spurs which they don't even deserved.

    That including the Clippers.

The Spurs are pushing Griffin hard and tough yesterday and he did not even tried to flop that hard or started anything with the Spurs.

This kind of respect almost get close to fear.

The only guy worth this level of respect in the Spurs roster is Kawhi, which the Clippers played very smart yesterday to double him most of the time.

As long as the Clippers will not be self destructed, they should be able to finish the Spurs in 5.

We'll see Clips' character when they're playing from behind. Spurs are never panicking even when opponent is leading by double digits.

    The Spurs are never panicking?

That's funny, how can you not see the desperation when the Spurs doing the hack-a-josh when they were playing the Rockets, that was trying every thing they can to get the ball out of Harden's hands, and how badly they want to win the game against the Pels.

Many people kept asking the question : why did the Spurs not doing the hack-a Jordan earlier yesterday as much as Pop is loving this strategy?

Because the Spurs never panic? Of course not, anyone who will have some common sense will understand the Clippers bench is just a group of useless weak ass, if the Spurs will do the hack thing early and often, with the game totally slow down, it will just give the Clippers more chances to rest their starters and they will be in a much worse situation.

Its not like they were not panic, its because they do not have better choice.

Spurs only has to win one of the first two games to totally flip this series. The clippers aren't going to beat the Spurs in San Antonio.

If the Clippers can play every game like they did last night, I will pick them to win it all. They were totally scary dominant last night. I don't think they can keep that up.

Can we please just put away the Mavs before talking about who's next?

Did we not learn our lesson from 05? Winning 1 and 2 on the road before coming home and ultimately choking away the series.

We won 1 game. That's it. We need 3 more.

As long as the Clippers find a way to stop Kawhi, they are in good shape, Kawhi is probably the best defender now for any SG/SF, but will the Spurs put him on CP3 more and often?

If they do, now its the real panic and I doubt how much it will work also.

Other than Kawhi, they are old and slow and Doc is well aware of this, even the Clippers don't even have a bench, they were still playing at a crazy pace last night, because they know what they were doing.

You're telling me that you would go into the series and disregard the fact that you're going up against the defending champs and the best coach in the league? Even Rivers acknowledged that he was basically on a lower than Pop.

And respect...apparently, Duncan / Parker / Ginobili aren't on the team any longer? Old as they may be, they're no pushovers.

If the Clippers lose the series, it won't be because they self-destructed. It'll be because the Spurs outplayed them.

Spurs don't panic. Employing the Hack strategy is not panicking. Panicking would be Mills and Green trying to jack up 3s in order to get back into the game. Hack-a-Jordan was stopped because DeAndre started getting into a groove, not because they were panicking.

People are contemplating whether we should play the Spurs or the Clippers, yet we haven't beaten our own first round opponent yet. I'm not sure what you're talking about.

And, speaking of not being able to read, most of your posts have at least one or more mistakes. I think you should learn to proofread, to be taken more seriously.
