    You know what I'm grateful for?

    McHale going with a 9 man rotation instead of 8. I know its only one additional man, but it could be all the difference. Against Portland, the only guys off the bench were Lin, Asik and Garcia/Daniels. Would D-Mo had made a difference if he'd seen the court?

    It would be like McHale not playing Smoove or Capela at all. Both were critical to last night's win.

    I'm grateful for that.

    Something that is really encouraging to me is that McHale and the staff out prepared and out schemed Carlisle. Torching Dirk every time down the floor is pretty much the optimal strategy... even when they were trying to hide Dirk in the corner (brought Terry and Brewer up on screens, etc.).

    i just rewatched the highlights. those complaining about the call harden got on dirk fail to miss the free throw given to dirk from terry after there was no contact on his 3pt shot.
