His long, lanky body and athleticism reminds me a bit of Kevin Garnett when he first entered the league. Not saying he’ll ever be even close to the player that Garnett is, but hopefully McHale can approach developing Capella the same way he developed Garnett in Minnesota.

Oh yes . Amare thought he was gonna throw it down on the rookie and Capela realigned those expectations.

Love his energy. He needs to shoot 1000 freethrows a day in practice.

our frontcourt future is extremely bright with DMO and Capela with Jones coming off the bench ala josh smith.

Capela played well last night, his instincts are good for someone so raw still! He's got the natural ability to play well in this league, I pray he really takes what dream teaches him to heart and just soaks it all in. If this kid could develop any kind flip shot/hook shot/bunny jumper and increase both his offensive and defensive awareness, he'll be a stud in this league!

    pic for attention

His form is improving though, you can tell they've been working with him on FT's like crazy.

In reality, the only reason McHale is playing him is because he can hit 1 of every 2 free throws. The great surprise is that, he is bringing a few positives to counter the areas where he still needs to improve.

What a great way to accelerate his development - heated playoff series against Chandler, Dirk and Amare. He didn't even seem nervous at all.

Especially loving how often Harden and Howard are giving him advice, and how often Smith and Harden are rewarding him for a strong roll to the basket.

Anyone knows his shooting percentage on catch and finishes? It's seems high, some of those layups he finished was so refreshing because our big men have really struggled in the past with simple layups. His wing span is insane!!!

If he extends his arm straight up with the ball, like he did in a couple of dunks in the Toronto game, that would've been a massive poster.

Yes, but Capela will never be able to back up Cookie Monster.

Call me crazy. But Capela's complexion reminds me of Mutombo. His voice is not as deep. But he defends, he blocks.

Like this guy. How old is he?
