I love Mario Elie and think Eddie is wonderful too,but when i read clutch's article,it left a bad taste in my mouth. This is the same team that tried to pawn off an injured Penny and a cast of characters for Dream.(what a joke, even if the Nickel was healthy)WHILE MUCH OF WHAT THEY SAY MIGHT BE TRUE,I don't like hearing that from THESE guys. The Suns apparently have ratcheted up the PR machine in an attempt to obtain Dream. With Rumors of Dream retiring,Dream going to Miami, and whatever,I feel the Suns are just using these guys, trying to further their own fortunes,as it seems that any chance for Dream going to Phoenix is shrinking.Yes,the NBA is a business, but I'm shocked to hear the way,Mario would be aparty to this. Both these guys were and have been consumate pros and now it seems they are just being whores for Jerry Colangelo....thoughts????

    Elie:

"He can still play," said guard
    Mario Elie, who spent five
    seasons in Houston. "He can
    help whatever squad he plays
    on. Knowing Dream, it's tough
for him there right now. I've
talked to friends there, and I
know he just wants to go
    someplace where he can win."

help US then. He is contractually bound to do so! Or does honoring his word means nothing anymore to him?

    Eddie Johnson:

    ""That's what Patrick Ewing is
    going through in Seattle right
    now. He's realizing that it
wasn't New York. It wasn't that
they weren't using him the right
way. His skills are gone. If
    Dream recognizes that he isn't
going to be the go-to guy from
the start of the game until deep
in the fourth quarter, then he
    can help a team."

""If he came to the Suns, he
    couldn't camp down there on
the post all the time and take
    away Shawn Marion's ability to
    float around down there, or
Jason Kidd's ability to penetrate. But he has the ability for 20 or
25 minutes a night to be a very good player."

This is ridiculous! That´s exactly what we expect him to do for US. I´m getting tired of all this bullsh!it. Dream has lost the will to win YEARS ago! A lot of posts during those years has already pointed out that Dream no longer cared about the game and wether the team was winning or losing. He wouldn´t get mad with a bad call, would speak out after a loss. And that´s when we WERE contenders.

What´s with the sudden desire to win again?

Or does he think that he is going to be the main option anywhere? Find me a team that is willing to do so! Contender or not! Even the clips would put Odom and Miles in front of him!

So now it´s the franchise who is not showing loyalty! I´m definetly pissed about this!

"I think Hakeem has given them everything, and they've made up
their mind they're not going to play him. So let him go. Don't be
selfish and keep him just for the sake of the salary."

HE is the one who is refusing to play!

    ...!

Looks like this is going to get ugly as far as PR goes. I´m starting to fear for the lenghts that Dream might go to make sure he is waived.

    Well,
I'm going to the Sixer game tonight and I want to see this" blending in" we have waited for too...should prove to be a very interesting night..I like the fact that the Sixers are on their second back to back on the road.
As far as Patrick goes,I agree that he isn't half the player(at most) Dream still can be ,at this point in their careers.

    Will Hakeem suit up tonight?

I´m not sure. Everything depends on the outcome of the meeting between him and Les, and right now it doesn´t look likely that it will be good at all.

I'm beginning to lose alot of respect for Hakeem.

To take a few words from my favorite player, Charles Barkley, SHUT UP AND PLAY!

Mario Elie and Eddie Johnson...no offense...but YOU GUYS ARE SO FULL OF IT.

Dream needs to play out his contract. Who cares if he is miserable? Just think of the millions of Americans who hate their jobs! Dream is a freaking multi-millionare basketball player and he's miserable when he's on the court.

    WHOOPITY DOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep I hate to say it, but Dream needs to SACK UP and play out the rest of his contract. If you are working, you can beg all you want to move into a different division of the company, but only a good attitude, persevernce, and hard work will get you there. Dream has proved none of that this season (especially the good attitude part). Mario and Eddie can beg and b**** that they dont have a big man all they want, but the Suns are still going to SUCK.

    Two things:
    1) Isn't this tampering? Suggesting another team release a player you tried to trade for? The Godfather needs to issue them a stern warning about this kind of thing.
    2) Seems like business as usual for the Suns though. I thought something fishy was going on with Tsaklidis(?), seems they're doing something shady again.

I'm sure most players around the league would say the same thing. And all of you would, too, if you were Suns' fans. There's that "h" word again, rearing its ugly head.

If Phoenix wants Dream so badly, let them pony up to the trade table & make us an offer we can't refuse. Otherwise, SHUT UP! When it comes to Dream being traded, we're in the drivers seat. If ya want him, ya gotta ante up. If Dream starts to cause a disruption to the team, just put him on the IL & leave him there. If he acts like a tempermental child, then treat him like one.

The comment by Mario is about the stupidest comment I've ever heard. We're already doing the right thing in the form of $16.7 million right things. I'm sick & tired of hearing these over paid babies crying that they are being mistreated. You IDIOTS! You make more in one year for 3-4 months of work, than the poor working stiffs that make your job even exist make in an entire life time. Why don't you try working 40-60 hours a week, every week of the year, for 40-50 years, only to look at your checking account & wonder if you're going to have enough to pay the bills every month. You poor babies. Just SHUT UP & PLAY! [IMG]

I'm not a fan of the Suns though.
