What will Memphis do with all their swingmans?

Of course we will match Posey so strike that one off.

 

I heard that Batiste accepted Memphis' qualifying offer.

 

It's rediculous which is why I think Jerry West knows we will match. In doing so we will put ourselves in a deeper hole for years to come and we will be stuck with the same horrible contracts and horrible players putting ourselves farther out of playoff contention as Memphis sneaks in and steals the 8th seed.

 

My mistake...Memphis offered Batiste the QO but he has not signed it.

Batiste is a fringe player, Mike Miller and Wes Person have only one year left on their contracts and Mike Dickerson may never play again. Dahntay Jones is a rookie, who knows if he works out. After this year I see Battier/Posey as their SG/SF combo. If Dahntay works out, they may let Mike Miller go, if not they probably sign him.
Don't you guys find it strange that nobody is talking about Mike Miller extension. The guy was a ROY, you know. Just shows you again how hideous that draft was.

 

I didn't know that Wes Person was slated to make 7 mil this next year. Wow. Jerry West must suck for not unloading him.

 

persons contract ends after this season...that will be 7 million gone for the summer after, just like the rockets situation with rice.

 

West isnt going to let Mike Miller leave, he traded Drew Gooden and Girichek for him. He also has long praised Miller.

 

West unloaded Nick Anderson's fat contract last summer in favor of taking on Wesley's large contract for the '02-'03 and '03-'04 seasons.
