i'm not sure if this has already been discussed but....... it's obvious we have a need for muscle in the frontcourt & championship/playoff experience. though out of the league recently (a perfect opportunity to revitalize his body) Ottis Thorpe could do a lot for us. he is big & powerfull, familiar w/the Rockets' organiztion (having played here & won a championship w/us) & not to mention he's a terrific outlet passer! what do y'all think?
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=0339 At the ripe old age of 41 in August, I think OT has seen the last of his playing days in the NBA. OT of mid 90's I'd take in a heartbeat, though.
Yeah, I second that OT notion. If I were the Rockets, I would trade a future first round pick for OT. Heck, that deal worked out well for the Grizzlies. In all seriousness, Otis Thorpe was a tremendous player when he was playing with the Rockets. If we can sign him to the veteran's exemption & he can still get up and down the court, I am on board for Thorpe.
Somehow, I don't think Kermit would be welcomed here... can you imagine everytime he walks by Rudy's office... can you say "TENSION?"
Shawn Kemp is still out there...I can hear the hamburges fryin' and the twinkies chillin.' On the other hand, if he got serious again.....himmm.
