Cousins and its not even close. I think some of you are getting caught up in a few flashy dunks to make an honest assessment. In the first half of the season pre-injury Cousins was playing as well as AD.
I think they are fairly similar offensively. Similar in the sense of equally competent, though clearly Cousins needs to work on shot selection.. but he also has the better throw it to him on a post-up, allow him to create type game. Neither is great defensively, but I'd probably take Cousins over Griffin in that category. Griffin plays in the much better defensive system next to a beast of a defender. I think if you put both say in San Antonio, or the Warriors, Cousins would be the better defensive fit... Griffin would be more like a much better version of David Lee.
Yeah, people are caught up in flashy dunks and team success... even though Blake has much better teammates.
Blake is a really skilled player, but he still depends greatly on his athleticism, while Cousins can barely jump over a phonebook and is still able to dominate. For a single season give me Blake, but starting a franchise I want Cousins.
DeAndre steals them all, on a team without him I'd expect him to get his average back up near his rookie numbers.
