Please, people, just ignore ClownBoy. Does this every year with the Rockets. Pleading with him to STFUA doesn't work, so just get used to his perennial BS.

Not a fool at all - we don't make the team decisions, and fans are supposed to support through thick and thin- so let's all just see what happens.

You won't get bashed. Opinions vary. The team has incredible weaknesses and will likely falter in the first round. So what? What's your point? We're still gonna watch and do what fans do: hope.

Sure but Howard's desire to win has been a mystery to me for some time now. While he did good (somewhat) in Orlando, the way things turned out in LA especially his fallout with Kobe gives me pause. Kobe is a relentless competitor for whom winning is the only thing that's important. If you play hard and with desire, then playing with Kobe is not an issue. Yet, Howard couldn't wait to get away from a guy who wanted to win above all else. So he comes here where there is NO pressure on him to be "the guy" and everyone loves him and his antics. OK, fine but now he's piling up injuries and missing a lot of games. He (and the team) still haven't been tested under pressure in a deep playoff run. As such, I simply don't have a good feeling about how much Howard can be depended upon to be a factor in putting the Rockets over the top. Add to that his contract situation and you have a number of serious questions that will soon require some tough answers.

The Dream might be watching the train wreck from the sidelines. The Rockets will be playoff 1st round cannon fodder once again. We have a roster with like 5 guys that can't hit a free throw not sure how Morey's analytics missed this obvious Achilles heel. We have a coach that can't make adjustments except maybe at half time. Who can the Rockets beat in the west - maybe a hurt Dallas team otherwise they are toast. I've been a Rocket fan since 83 but I see this team for what they are - an also ran! Flame on!

?? he wasn't somewhat good in Orlando, he was a great player in the playoffs for them every single time he stepped on the floor, he made the finals by dismantling a Lebron led Cavs who had the best record in the league at the time if I recall correctly

Kobe is a washed up ego maniac, he's a detriment to his team by the time Howard was there, he even drove Pau Gasol off and look how good Gasol is doing right now in Chicago.

Dwight was doing everything he could last year in the playoffs while Harden decided to jerk off on the side and give up on his team on both sides of the floor

The "lack of desire to win" has never affected his ability to perform and give it his all.

For all the slack Dwight gets for his attitude, I've never seen him mail it in so to speak in the playoffs, maybe except for that disastrous Lakers year.

It's funny because I hear all these comments about Kobe's alpha attitude and his desire to win and I've personally seen him mail it in and give up completely against the Suns in the playoffs because the media said he shot too much.

I've seen Lebron completely crumble mentally and give up on his team against the Celtics in the playoffs before hopping on a train to Miami the next month

I've seen Harden just last year let his whole team down because Wesley Matthews got under his skin

maybe we shouldn't be questioning the only player on the team that keeps it together always when it counts because he's too "goofy"

Do you remember what the Rockets of 20 years ago were before they were Clutch City?

Yeah we're going to lose in the first round again, don't hold any tiebreakers over anyone in West playoffs except mavs, just got owned by the spurs, no way we can beat them, clippers own us, Memphis own us, blazers will beat us again someway somehow

Since the OP is so sure the Rockets will lose, he placed a Vegas bet for $10,000 against Houston.

Wait.... he didn't. Because he's not so sure.

Don't worry. Morey already find a good excuse for first round exit.

Meh ... Harden & Howard are hungry.. Not being able to play together and gel this season has hurt the team and knocked from a WCF team to a level below that. The injuries to Bev and Jones and DMO also hurt the development of this club. Not maximizing your finances and assets to fail to trade for Goran Dragic also hurt.

The Rockets are hungry and will beat Portland... But will lose in 5 to the Warriors in round 2... Not great but not terrible either.

You are an idiot. If you want to totally believe in Howard then by all means go right ahead. That is your right. All I'm saying is that I harbor severe doubts about Howard's drive and desire given what I've seen from him over the past few years. In my book, that's a fairly mild and justifiable concern. Nothing wrong with that except for how it affects pinheads like yourself.

If you can substitute health for drive and desire then I'll agree.

Do you really think that Dwight Howard (5 time all nba first team, 3 time dpoy, and a body built like a Greek god) really has limited drive or desire? It's pretty ridiculous to say that.
