You know what's crazy about all this is we had better get better this summer or the Pels and Jazz could push us down out of the playoffs with OKC healthy.

You can't rest in the West.

We all need to be rooting for the Grizz to lose one and the Rockets to win out. I'd like taking my chances vs Portland rather than the clips or Spurs. Grizz vs GS is a monster game for the Rockets, and without saying...Rockets need to win out(especially against a tough NO team tonight.

Marc Gasol, Conley, and Allen are all hobbled right now. It might not be a bad thing playing them.

If this team can't nut up AT HOME vs way lesser teams to end the season with HUGE implications on the line then In no way should anyone be expecting a run in the playoffs.. Just saying..

I THINK Portland gets the 4th seed even if we have a better record, just because they are the division winners. The catch, though, is that the team with the better record still gets home court. So the seeding applies for matchup purposes only.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

We would have to have even worse injury luck next year for either of those 2 to surpass us.

What happens if everyone wins out and we have a 4 way tie?

Do the Rockets consider wanting to play the Grizzlies if Grizzlies win out? Gasol and Conley might be out for an extended period of time...

If the Spurs, Rockets, and Memphis win out, which could very well happen, the Spurs would own the tiebreaker in a three-way tie. The Spurs would also own the two-seed tiebreaker if the Clippers joined in for the four-way tie. The Rockets lose all tiebreakers when matched up with the Grizzlies, Spurs, and the Clippers. In the event of a four-way tie, the Clippers would get the three seed and the Rockets would be matched up against them as the six seed.
    1) Warriors 2) Spurs 3) Clippers 4) Blazers 5) Grizzlies 6) Rockets

Technically, in the above scenario, the Blazers are the fourth seed, but the Clippers would get HCA, so the have a virtual 4th seed.

Uggh, sorry, I meant the Grizzlies have HCA as the 5th, and would play the Blazers.

the Clippers have to lose in all of this jumbled mess, as well. so we have to rely on three teams to lose, which we have no control over.

yeah I'm hoping for 5 seed with homecourt, with favorable first round and second round matchups.

we only need the spurs and grizzlies to lose once, with us winning out to get the 2nd seed. pretty sure we'd have the tiebreaker over the clips due to division record. as of right now, we don't (since we haven't played the pels).

If Spurs and Grizz both lose one more and we win out - we win our division. And I think that's how we win tie break over clippers.
