This... He also had Dwight back door for the alley opp... But then he would have gotten fouled and the refs would have called it because it's Dwight. At the end of the day I am happy Harden had the ball and made whatever decision he made. I will live with our best player taking the last shot

His fingers graze the ball, obviously, and then he slaps down hard on his forearm. IMO if it wasn't for that hard slap harden might have been able to finish the layup, but I would never ever expect that to be called. Good block, really sucks that we lost we really needed that W to solidify our 2nd seed placement, now we're in ****ing 6th seed.

Didn't look like he touched the ball at all.

Rockets got screwed, but you have to make free throws. That'll be the death of us.

    Good block

Rockets killed themselves with TOs and missed FTs.

Spurs killed the Rockets game before anyways.

Crap b2b effort, but hope isn't lost. We can beat SA in a 7 game series

How many times are we going through this the REF's bad calls against the Rockets,
yes we misses a lot of free throws, but fair is fair the ref's blew the last call.

The point is that Harden didn't lose possession after Duncan touched the ball. I think it's pretty clear that Harden could have finished after the alleged block if not for the contact.

Call me a homer, and call me ignorant, but how can you honestly say that picture shows definitive proof his fingers are on the ball? If you look at the picture, it sort of looks as if there's a hand making contact with Hardee's abdomen, no? Maybe this could be the cause of the loose ball.

In HD slow mo, which is undeniably clearer, it doesn't look as if he touches ball. Maybe that bigfoot-esque shot is a better angle - it's hard to say. There's no way to establish depth there.

I think it's a bit funny how not everyone here thinks it was a foul. Maybe we are all a bit jaded. If you watch the replay, the contact in the abdomen that I'm talking about happens before Duncan may have possibly grazed the ball. It is the most likely culprit for what appeared to be a block.

Done debating though. Bring on the next game.

I guess I will eat crow on this one. I don't think the wrong call was made but based on the video available in the game it was a highly subjective situation.

I was never too upset about the foul to end the game, just numb. I think everyone was already surly at that point.

you're allowed to have your arm on the opposing players torso to protect yourself as long as there's no meaningful force coming from it.

I still disagree with this interpretation. I don't think Duncan completely blocked Harden. The contact after Duncan touched the ball did have an impact on the shot attempt. It's possible Harden would have gone on to miss the layup but he was not given the opportunity.

I am not upset about it. It was a tough call.

That's the official NBA ruling. Opinions differs though.
