    We need to move one of them to SS so they can play everyday.

    Yes, I know, a regurgitated joke from last week...so sue me! :)

    This is why I believe we need some pop off the bench rather than another starter (unless you get a really good deal). What was it, the 8th last night when we had Greg friggin' Zaun pinch hitting with two on?

    I agree. They definitely need a righty off the bench. When Blum doesn't start they have 2 capable lefty's (Merced being the other).
    The move they should make right now is to rid themselves of Hunter and immediately bring up Lane (if he's completely over his abdominal strain).

    I think they would have done that by now if Lane was healthy. He actually had just come back from the same injury before he got hurt again... they're gonna make sure he's fully healthy before he can do anything (and that includes being able to hit AAA pitching).

    I know he's not a righty off the bench, but John Vanderwaal has long been a great pinch-hitter... against both righties and leftys.
