    I'd think the term is avocation. The application thereof can, and has, turned into positions. (See today's Bostonglobe.com, football notes.)

    I'd think the term is "basketball fan." Proclaiming yourself to be a scout that is analyzing players for the NBA draft without actually working for anyone is ridiculous... You don't get a job "scouting" by simply watching basketball games and telling people you're an expert.

    Essentially yes, unless the Rockets open up significant cap space by trading Ariza (which I've argued for but don't see happening).

    Rockets have to use the MLE to keep KJ McDaniels, pursue Llull and bring over Gentile.

    Why the hell would you argue for trading Ariza? he is the main reason our D is better this year. God knows where we would be without Ariza this year.

    haha. true. that's why I said Pap would be traded in a PACKAGE to move up. His team option contract is favorable. I'd hate to part with Jones or D-Mo. Perhaps LLull, Papanikolu, New Orleans pick and the Knicks 2nd rounder or future 1st rounder.
