you dont exactly have to score 60...make the right plays and if needed in crunch time make those cold blooded shots.
If the Rockets can win this game + Harden has a big game, it will sway a lot of the MVP voters away from Curry b/c SA just crushed Curry and the Warriors.

Road tripping for this game with 3 co-workers. I believe we'll be 5 rows behind the rox bench. Very pumped:grin: we got 3 tix 5 rows behind the rox bench and a cheap one in the nose bleeds. We'll alternate by quarter.
If we can clinch division by staying ahead of MEM and SA, we shouldn't have to worry about LAC as much. LAC has two more losses than us, and by clinching the division, we would own the tiebreaker against the LAC.
I'll be happy if the Rockets split the next two games against the Spurs. Winning both probably secures the number two seed and helps Harden's case for MVP.
Spurs are streaking, to be expected. They are geared to go into the playoffs at top speed. They have a really good coach. However, the Rockets are a tough match up for them; therefore, I think it is best if we win both games. The first is a back to back for them. The second is at our place. If the Rockets can't get up and motivated for these games, then we shouldn't expect much in the playoffs.
Hate seeing comments like this. Rockets don't have a prayer? Rockets have 0% chance of winning this one with Splitter out, 2nd night of a back to back and the Rockets equally as hot as the Spurs right now? I think we are looking at a healthier squad during these two games too. Cmon man. Don't say we don't have a prayer. They should be just as equally nervous about facing us as we might be about facing them. Don't forget too...we swept them last year
Expect Skip Bayless to pretty much say that Harden is a b**** ass on national television if and when Harden leads the Rockets over the Spurs. He will probably try and trash talk about Harden for the entire segment. Since when did the Spurs being Skip Bayless' Spurs? Did he jump on them when they began winning or just recently?
Got to at least split this. But if we can win both with Harden having defining moments, that should secure the 2nd seed and possibly the the MVP. Howard and Jones will be huge in this game. Spurs have trouble matching up with their athleticism. Ariza and Brewer must do a good job on Parker/Leonard. McHale, please don't get terribly embarrassed by Pop, and for the love of everything good in the world, take out Dorsey whenever a hack-a-Dorsey situation is in play. Better yet, don't play Dorsey at all!
Not 100% sure but I got it from this: The tightness in starting forward Tiago Splitter’s right calf isn’t serious, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich says, but the injury could still keep him out for at least a week, including a critical home-and-home set with Southwest Division rival Houston. “There’s some edema and some stuff in there,” said Popovich, speaking less than two hour before tipoff of Sunday’s home game with Golden State. “It’s not real serious, but enough to keep him out a while. Hopefully we’ll get him back. He’s part of why we’ve played well lately, a big part of it. “But he’ll miss tonight, he’ll probably miss (Oklahoma) City and Houston back-to-back, I’d imagine. I don’t want lose him. No matter who we end up playing (in the playoffs), he’s a big part of that.” http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursn...-not-serious-per-popovich-but-hell-miss-time/
The Rockets have matched up well with the Spurs, although that was partly due to Parsons who's no longer here. Anything's possible, but I just don't see the Rockets getting this one. The Spurs aren't just winning games lately. They're destroying teams. They beat OKC by 40 a few weeks ago and that was before the Thunder went into the funk they're currently in. Now that being said, I do think the Rockets have a very good chance of beating the Spurs on Friday. San Antonio is not as good on the road. They're a respectable 20-18 away from home, but that's nothing compared to what they've done in recent years.
