It's not fake at all. I've met him, and he's a great guy with a serious commitment to God and his family. He's my favorite non-Rocket in the league. Still want Harden to win the MVP though..

Sage: What is your most important criteria?

Rose: Who gives me the best heroic effort for 82 games? Take everything else into consideration and obviously winning is a big time factor

Collins: The best player on best team and the guy who has meant more to his team than anyone else.

    Who is your MVP?

Rose: Steph Curry with the shot. +11 in the Western Conference. They blew through the competition. 1st in O/D efficiency, 1st team since 72-win Bulls. Steph will win MVP.

Collins: Curry, who is the best player on the best team, has not played in 19 4th quarters. Imagine his numbers if he did. 35-2 at home blowing people away.

Harden: He's playing on a team that has the most player games missed with injury. 2nd best record in the West. I wore these shoes today to tap dance until April 17, which is when I'll tell you [my] MVP.

Rose: It's a fluid situation. Both have a chance to win their first MVP. It'll come down to this last week, it's that close.

Rose: If Harden had put up triple-doubles like Westbrook, it'd be a no-brainer but give the edge to Curry.

Its all good guys. Its not an insult to finish second in the MVP voting. We would have been ecstatic if someone told us when we got Harden that he would be second in MVP voting. Plus, Steph is very deserving. I wouldnt want the extra pressure it would put on us in the playoffs either.

I laughed a lot at ESPN's Twitter poll. In the first half Curry was up 3% and their reaction was "seems about right, Steph Curry with Harden right on his heels." Then Harden took a 6% or so lead by halftime and Jalen immediately went "well, that's not fair, Curry isn't playing a game right now."

Steph winnin'. The ones who matter already made up their minds. It's not at all undeserved either, he played a great season. Give him some ****ing credit.

remmeber when skip bayless said that after harden's 50 point game againist the kings, that he hasnt made up his mind yet, because curry still had games to impress againist the suns, mavs, and spurs to close the season... so far harden is outplaying espn's mvp down the stretch

Let this whole MVP bs be a lesson in life for everyone on CF.. Who cares? As long as he's MVP in Houston and helps us win a chip, I don't care what anyone else says. Ask Hakeem if he'd prefer the MVP or the Championship back in '95... No contest.

Life isn't about marketing unless you get caught up in it. And value is relative. What's absolute is if you lose out on your opportunity to enjoy Harden's season this year by getting caught up in the media-driven, and ultimately meaningless, MVP award. Don't be bitter. Appreciate that if Harden doesn't get this award, it will only serve to motivate him and give your Houston Rockets a better shot at the title!

Did you all notice that the moment Harden started winning their stupid MVP poll, they stopped showing the diagram all together?

Harden must have been winning the poll by a landslide and ESPN didn't find that acceptable.

Everybody says this but it's not like the Hakeem situation at all. They play two different positions and it's highly unlikely Harden looks at the Warriors, and says "I'm going to have a legendary series because Curry won MVP"

Hakeem didn't outplay Robinson because he had a chip on his shoulder. He outplayed him because he was just simply the better center.

Also...what happens if Curry wins MVP AND goes to the finals? Then Harden has nothing. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

This exactly. I don't understand the notion of "Let Curry win MVP so Harden takes care of business in the WFC."

I mean, can we even get out of the 1st round before thinking about the WCF, much less beating the Warriors at the WFC?

I want Harden to win MVP because he deserves it more than anyone else. That's it.
