I believe that we should trade Rice for a second round draft pick. We have good young plaayers in Nachbar & Hawkins that can replace Rice. I think we need tp play these guys more. If they were with the Spurs they will get P.T. Look @ Ginobli. If Ginobli was in Houston he would not be a star cuz the Rockets would not play him
Doubtful someone with 9 million in cap space would take him, without dumping salaries in return. But suppose Miami gets completely shut out of free agents. Would they take his salary (part of which is being paid by NY), if we sent, say, a conditional first round pick along with him? This would moot any luxury tax issue, and clear the way to match the Posey offer. Probably a pipe dream, though.
