Exactly I'm pissed, but losing to Toronto with what we are dealing with doesn't represent we suck. the team is in the playoffs and iTs time to get ready for the playoffs and get guys healthy.
BTW mmajority of the mavs fan are hoping for the rockets in the playoffs. As much as I've been disappointed by the rockets the last few yrs , I say bring it on. they have the upper hand in bragging rights on us the last few yrs, I think it's time to take it back.

I think we can all agree on one thing after this game:

    Capella > Dorsey

cmon man... I mean that game was horrible, and the last play was SO awful, but...

we were missing 5 guys, including 3 starters and our 3 big men.

That makes this an L unless everyone played close to 100%. Instead we played pretty bleh and could've won.

Mchale has to be forced to play players that could help the team. Prigioni is playing really well for the Rockets now defensively and in the PnR. It took Bev being out to play him. He went with Terry instead of Prigioni to end the game. Rockets got the ball with a lead, but ended up turning the ball over because Terry wasn't even looking to get the ball as the PG.

Joey didn't play badly but Mchale saw that Capela was better defending the paint, finishing at the bucket and securing rebounds. Rockets needed one rebound and he chooses to go with Dorsey.

Mchale is either too stubborn or just too loyal.

I'd always opt for Ariza. He got the miss against LeBron to force OT. He got the miss against Chris Paul to secure the win in LA. Let him take the defensive assignment.

Here's one possibility I just thought of. Maybe the reason Harden was on him was because we needed Ariza in there to grab the board in case Derozen missed. Since Trevor was essentially playing the 4, I could understand leaving Harden to guard the perimeter player.

If Harden takes that shot and misses, you can live knowing you gave your best player a chance to win you the game.

Having Ariza take that shot is just dumb.

TOTALLY agree !! That's 2 last minute CRITICAL calls not made that potentially cost us 2 games. All you ask is for a fair shake...not getting it from the refs. No doubt on the rebounding and FT but just call the game fairly. Don't ignore a player with complete possession of the ball a timeout and don't allow the defender to maul from behind in an effort to get the ball. An absolute JOKE !

You mention the monumental problem at hand in this Rocket's team.

    "... and could've won"

That is going to be the case a lot of times because James Harden is the MVP and our players have been performing better than expected.

You don't look at it and think 'we had people out so it was an L anyway.. it's ok'

You look at it and think 'if the coaching staff were competent we would've had a huge chance to win that game with 5 players out'

SMH. I hate McHale. Hate him.

A better coach puts us in greater positions to defy the odds.

I didn't expect a win, but we put ourselves in a possession to win and lost it. That's what made this loss irritating.

Just disgusting that Harden didn't get that shot.

We are going to see that 2 minute report saying it was an incorrect call and a slight "Oopies" by the refs/NBA.

Not bad either, play Dallas with homecourt or play the Blazer with homecourt not bad. Better than playing SA or the Clippers.

I think Harden was supposed to take the shot and thought Ariza was open. I don't think even Harden expected Ariza to chuck two 3s like that. I thought it was just a pass because he may have been open and it looked like IIRC that Harden was running back to the ball and Ariza just wanted to take the shot.

I'm not even mad about that, he (Ariza) hits big shots so that's why he has the confidence to take them.

I mean if he was open and had to take that shot to tie it up I'd live with that...not that off ball chuck up shot he put up there...

Anyone also notice how when our offense is playing like ****, it usually coincides with Terry at PG.

I just don't think he's smart enough. He does this time in and out during close games. He's a fool.
