How about this Portland gets: C Kelvin Cato- A quality back-up who can also start over D.Davis SF Glen Rice- High character, great shooter and last year of contract PG/SG Larry Hughes- Smooth and Athletic scoring guard who does'nt really have a true postition SF/PF Jared Jefferies- Potentially can combine with Randolph to give Blazers a youg nucleus and killer frontline Houston Gets: PF Rasheed Wallace- Top 5 NBA Talent, bottom 5 attitude who can easily be 20/10 player with a change of scenery. The skills can't be denied and the starting five would be a nightmare for other teams. If it doesn't work out we get 12 million off cap next year. SG/PG Derek Anderson- Energetic and effective player who was the x-factor in San Antonio. He hustles and has Jordan-edge to his game (only camparing styles). Could ignite a fierce competion at the guard spot for the better. Washington Gets: PF Eddie Griffin- Allows them a shot blocking presece and could battle with Kwame for the PF spot and no matter who wins the still have a young budding star at PF for the Future and the other becomes expandable. Competition brings out the best in most athletes. PG Moochie Norris- Hometown boy and they don't have to know about his shot clock problems. Still he is a solid true point guard which they lost in Tyronn Lue. All salaries match and I don't see how any team really loses out, it all improves each team's situation.
If we make any trades I think they will be very simple ones like 1 for 1 of something like that. It get too crazy trying to pull off multi-team trades.
If this is correct, then we are in Moochie-Land for at least one more year. I'm really hoping that he turns his game up. Moochie. Cut your hair and play ball!!!
So Portland gives up two all star caliber players in Wallace and Anderson for Cato, Rice, Hughes, and Jefferies?
So Washington, with one project PF already on their hands, wants another in Eddie Griffin? What does Portland do with all of those players, none of whom are as good as the ones they trade away (and one of whom they had earlier in his career)? Uh-uh.
Since it has not been asked yet, I will ask. Why in the hell does Portland want a guy who has done nothing since they traded him away yet pay 5-7 times as much as they paid before they traded him????
I think we can pull off a Rice, Mobley, and next year's #1 for Wallace and their choice of Derek Anderson or Bonzi Wells deal.
How about this We keep the roster intact* and see what happens with our new coach... *eh, the Moochie "*" just isn't funny anymore
