Holy **** that Asian backcourt, no not the one on Brazzers you sick dogs!!! They seem to be working pretty good together, history being made????
Lakers were winning by like 10 points when Lin went to the bench. Then the game got to OT lol. BTW I'd be pissed if I was Ed Davis. No one should get benched and play like 25 min when they go 7-9 FG. I'd ask to be traded in the summer
Sarcasm overload. Not sure if serious. Ed Davis is a great energy guy off the bench. I wouldn't mind him backing up Dwight. It's too bad we probably sign Josh Smith instead.
I'm not sure if the haters are closet fan boys or not. However, I'm not sure whether the fans get that they're being trolled or not either. Whichever the case, commence your troll fest.

honestly a very suspicious benching there so far as tanking. I know people here like to make jokes about it but Lin was getting it done and then was sat for the rest of it despite wolves coming back into it, then again that piick is far more important than Lin.
Don't think the Lakers were trying to lose, they were most likely just prioritizing developing and evaluating the younger guys. Tonight, they probably wanted to let Clarkson learn how to close out a 4th quarter as a primary ball handler/creator. And this is a totally justified thing to do. The comment from their (acting) head coach after the game was kind of awkward, though. He wouldn't even admit that they were trying to give Clarkson experience or evaluating Clarkson. He said that he "went with his gut" and thought that combination of players made sense-- a comment that didn't make a whole lot of sense given that this combination of guys blew a 10 point lead and couldn't create anything other than contested Js for most of the 4th quarter. It's like the coach just can't admit that he cares about anything other than winning when all of us know it's not the case.
It's not suspicious at all. Closing lineup included Jabari Brown (on 10 day contract), Wayne Ellington (19 shots, 7 pts), Ryan Kelly (13 shots, 11 pts). Of the players likely to be back next year they had rookies Tarik Black and Jordan Clarkson. They eventually tried swapping in Wes Johnson, who had had an invisible game. Outside Black, the defense by all of those players was at best bad. The only way they could have made the lineup worse would be by replacing Black with Sacre or put Ryan Kelly back at small forward. (Kelly's FG% this year, by the way, is 29%. And he's been starting for quite some time now).

The minutes they have been giving Clarkson in particular are clearly for development. But their closing lineup was pretty impressively calibrated for losing purposes.
I think they really are trying to develop Clarkson and Black, especially as a potential pairing for next year. So losing was just one goal, not the only goal.
Have you not seen how bad Lin is during crunch time??? If they wanted to lose, they would just play him.
Correct. Thats an easy one. Because he cant handle pressure. and I would hardly call going 6-14 against one of the scrub teams of the NBA as "showing up". Nevertheless, I applaud his effort to try to stat pad against the scrubs though. If he was smart, he would have not wasted the entire first half of the season. Took the bonehead half a season to realize this is his contract year. Again,
