I feel like Beverley will come back for the playoffs regardless of what the doc will say about the next medical step. It sucks that we haven't had a fully healthy team since the beginning of the year but hopefully everyone can be available once the playoffs start
From reading some of these articles it seems possible that Beverley would miss a couple weeks and then come back for the playoffs.
If you will read what I have said above, its clear that there is a very decent chance the Clippers will pass the Rox and move to the 3rd spot. While the Clippers could move up to 3rd, at the same time, its very unlikely the Rox will drop to 6th. Then whether the final win total will set the Rox at 4th or 5th and regardless if the Blazers will fall to the bottom as long as they will win the division (which is close to a lock), we will play the blazers.
As I have said earlier, although this sport is basketball and you need to use you hand to dribble and put the ball in the net, feet and knee injury is much more serious than hand and elbow injury which can force you to stop playing in this level. I still believe he will play (to some extend) in the playoff.
Believe it or not OKC is only four games behind them. If the Blazers keep falling in the loss column, you might find the Thunder in fourth. Also keep in mind that the Rockets haven't clinched the post season yet. Not that they won't , but with any of the teams there is that possibility.
Unless the Mavs / Spurs / OKC can pass the Rox, otherwise it doesn't matter, cause the Blazers will be not worse than 4th seed by default, it will still the Rox to play the Blazers.
What he was saying is OKC could pass the Blazers for Division Winner, making them 4th seed. I very much doubt that will happen, but POR did go on a huge 1-9 nosedive last year....so.... As for LAC passing us, their soft road schedule does help them. But we do have a +2 Road Record cushion on them.
Sux loosing a guy when it matters. He has character, play defense, talk trash - useful guy (sometimes). I don't know - season ending injury? man Rockets have tough season. Main healthy guys logged heavy minutes.
Houston Rockets starting point guard Patrick Beverley will seek input from specialists before a decision is made about potential season-ending wrist surgery in a week to 10 days, coach Kevin McHale told reporters at Wednesday's shootaround in New Orleans. Beverley was ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans with torn ligaments in his left wrist. Rockets guard Patrick Beverley is consulting with specialists before a decision is made about potential season-ending wrist surgery. Beverley visited with a doctor back in Houston on Wednesday and is getting a second opinion on his options, which could include surgery. Sources tell ESPN.com's Marc Stein that Beverley and the Rockets are holding out hope for a more favorable prognosis when the injury is re-evaluated. Beverly has to wait for the swelling to subside to determine a possible course of action. Beverley, who is averaging 10.1 points and 3.4 assists per game, was injured in a victory over the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. Jason Terry and Pablo Prigioni will try to pick up the slack at point, with Terry moving into the starting lineup to replace Beverley. Terry had two points and three assists in 27 minutes and Prigioni had two points and four assists in 20 minutes in Wednesday's 95-93 win over the Pelicans. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...rley-need-surgery-repair-torn-ligaments-wrist
If Howard sticks to play this way and when we get DMO/TJones back we can survive not have Beverly. We're a dangerous team when Howard plays this way with bounce in his legs
Terence Jones' planned return is at Home vs Kings (1st April), in the first game of Back to back... ...but if we don't blow out the Wizards & give Dwight plenty of rest, there is a possibility of TJ returning on second game of Back2Back vs Toronto on the 30th March to give Dwight his mandatory rest. Big Papa could surprise us with a return against the Mavs, 2nd April, but my mail is both he & D-Mo will be good to go against OKC on 5th April, getting ready for our possible 1st round opponent The Spurs, on the 8th & 10th. Plan is, God willing, we will be 100% rested, recovered & ready for the Playoffs. Beverley is still about seven days away from having his wrist 're-evaluated'... Rockets are hoping surgery can be put off until after the season to fix his wrist. #Pursuit
Not too worried since the Jet can shoot threes a lot better, is less TO prone, doesn't gamble on defense. I am worried about Prigs off the bench, because I hate Josh Smith handling the ball, absolutely hate it.

Hmmm...that sucks... Nick Johnson can make up for him on the offensive end, but he's an absolute zero offensively. At least Bev could do things from time to time and hit open shots. Not a devastating injury for us but a definite step back.
