I went and saw the premeir of the movie Bad Boys II last night. Has anybody else seen the movie yet. I thought it was a good movie. It just had the right amount of eveything in it such as action, comedy, suspense, drama, and just enough special effects. There were a few parts here and there that were unrealistic but overall it was a good movie and I reccomend it.
I thought it was pretty damn good. It was a 2 1/2 hour movie and never was a boring moment. BTW, Lil Pun, did u see the trailers for Scary Movie 3, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and The Rundown? SM3 and OUATIM looks great while The Rundown (The Rock movie that was once titled "Helldorado") looks "ehh.....", lets put it this way, they actually showed him doing the Rock Bottom to somebody, lame.
Actually I did not see the trailers for those movies except the movie that the Rock and Seam William Scott are in and it does look lame. The other trailers that were shown were for The Underworld and some other movie. You're right there wasn't a boring minute during the whole showing our movie started at 10:35 and ended at 1:15 and I wasn't even sleepy by the end of it. Go see it if you haven't.
Man, Newspaper critics are being harsh on this one. It's got a 25% rating on the freshness meter at Rottentomatoes.com. They also tore apart Johnny English and How to Deal. Harry at Aint it Cool liked it though. He said it was John Woo esque, that's enough to pique my interest.
Bad Boys II was awful. I have never seen so much cussing in one movie, it just distracted from the movie. Action scenes - overdone. And way too long. Story - typical and boring. I coulda made a 10 minute version of this movie. Don't waste your time/money. EDIT: Also, I was looking for A LOT more humor. That's the main reason why I saw it. My, was I disappointed. They couldn't be funny without saying 'f*cker' or something.
Don't listen to RocketKid, the movie was f***in awesome haha, had to. Yeah there was a lot of cussing but like Pun said, there was just the right amount of everything else. Great movie, one of the best all year, and I've seen like every big movie. It's right up there with Matrix Reloaded - see this movie!
I saw this movie yesterday and loved it. I don't know understand why newspaper critics are hating on it so much. I just don't know what they were expecting. It's like they never saw the first one or something. The scene in the movie Roger Ebert (who gave it one star) hates the most is, in my and many other's opinions, the best (hilarious!) in the whole movie. Also, I can't understand how anyone could call this movie overlong. It's an action packed, constantly moving 2 1/2 hours and you definitely get your money's worth. True, it's completely mindless and barely has a plot, but it's so much fun to watch. Also, the Joe Pantoliano, Will Smith, and Martin Lawrence trio is still as hilarious as ever. I'd definitely recommend this movie to anone who liked the first or just buddy cop movies in general. DON'T BRING KIDS though. There were way too many parents that brought their kids in the theater when I went to see this. There's just too much gore and bad languge for the younger ones. Its rated R for a reason.
Man, I work at a 12 screen movie theater and I have to say this has been the busiest weekend all summer as far as my theater goes. Bad Boys II looks awesome and the first one was great, but I wish people would understand that its not MY farking rule that you have to be 17 to get into rated R movies. The crowd for Bad Boys II has to be one of the most annoying, belligerent, and unconsiderate groups of people ever...I can't tell you how many people held up the line going into the theater arguing with me about being underraged or having to show ID. Sorry, I just had to rant... But back to the movie--from the clips I've seen it looks really good and most of the crowd has been pleased as they walk out of the theater..
I really liked this movie. Rarely do movies live up to their "part II" hypes. I was let down by Matrix 2 and Term 3. Its a action flick. If you're expecting anything else, then don't bother with it. Sure, the whole movie was not realistic. I enjoyed it for the combo of humor and action. *gags* T3 ... what a let down. basically T2 with a new skin.
Geez, this movie isn't oscar material but if your just want to be entertained this movie is it. It's you typical two cop action flick but it was very well done. Yes, action scenes were over done but you kind of know that's gonna happen with a Jerry Bruckheimer film. I recomend this movie for those who like Rush Hour, Lethal weapon, and those kinds of flicks.
.......its a summer blockbuster......its only made to make money. i dont think anyone was one day inspired to make it and i dont think ill one day be inspired to go see it. looks like doo doo. please dont call it one of the best of the year. it takes more than 2 almost has-been stars and a bunch of explosions and f bombs in "the action packed thrill ride must see movie of the summer" to get me. im as excited about this movie as pokemon the movie 2
The movie was great. It was about 2.5 hours long and I did not get bored one time. It had a lot of action and it was funny. What more do you want?
What movie isn't made to make money? Yeah movie studios give directors, producers and actors millions of dollars and tell them here go waste this. I cannot think of a movie that isn't made to make money. Yeah they were inspired to do it because the first one was a surprise hit and fans wanted another one and they got it. I don't think they meant it was one of the best of the year just one of the best in its class I don't expect to see Bad Boys II nominated for an Oscar next year but give me a break it was a good movie.
