I've said it before and I'll say it again, the admins needs to do something about his posting. Carl is like the Swoly D of the garm. The only difference is Carl does bring value at times.

Good eye...I thought the same exact thing.

They could have performed a simple needle aspiration or used a pneumothorax catheter (with removal already), although I didn't see a bandage anteriorly. Unlikely they placed it in the mid-axillary or posteriorly. He didn't have oxygen on either, which is standard of care for a small pneumothorax to allegedly improve resorption, although he may have just taken it off for the camera.

There is another possiblity, he may have atelectasis from chest wall trauma which was described as "partially collapsed" and misinterpreted by the media as pneumothorax (although I doubt it).

In either case, it doesn't sound like it will be too limiting.

My experience: I've had 6 spontaneous pneumothorax episodes, so I may be able to shed some light on it. If it's not caused by trauma, like a rib breaking and puncturing the lung, the problem is usually what's called a 'bleb', basically a little weak spot on the lung, like a blister. These can be congenital, and never give you any problems.

What forced mine to burst was usually heavy lifting. I had one at the gym, one while moving some large pieces of flag stone, moving a kid's playhouse, a surfing wipeout and finally while laughing at Tosh.0. Each time it happened it felt like I had pulled my back in the worst way. I had no idea it was a collapsed lung, just felt like being stabbed, you've pulled every muscle in your back, labored breathing, etc. Finally on the 5th one there was so much air leaking into my chest cavity I couldn't inhale enough air in to speak a full sentence. So this time I went to the ER and they put me in the ICU, put in a chest tube to relieve the air, etc. It really didn't seem like that big of a deal, maybe because I had been through it before, the pain subsided, mainly it's just hard to get a good breath. I was in for about 4 days and it fixed itself as it had done in the past. The inside of the chest cavity was described to me as 'slimy' and that 'slime' will usually plug the hole and stop the air leak. This is how it fixed itself the first 5 times it happened to me. ICU for a few days, head home, told to take it easy and come back in a week for a check up.
So the next day, sitting in bed watching Tosh, start laughing, pops again and back tot he hospital. This time it wouldn't seal on its own. They went in arthroscopically, stapled the bleb shut, then did a procedure that attaches the lung to the ribcage so that it can't collapse again. That was 2011 and I've had no issue since.

My guess on Jones: More than likely Jones' will seal itself if its a small enough hole, which since they've already released him the hospital, I'm sure it is. I'd guess he'll probably take it easy for a week, maybe two, before he's on the floor again. I've been back from it in a week to two weeks and can't imagine it being any worse for him. I'd wager he'll certainly be back for the playoffs, maybe starting back the week after Easter.

I am glad he has been discharged from the hospital. I hope for a complete and quick recovery. It will be great to see him back on the court.

Someone post a GIF of TJ walking by Faried after that game Harden was talking to him. Jones said something slick to him by how Faried reacted. Revenge?:p

If Denver had been playing with the effoert they had been recently the whole season, they might have been in the 7th or 8th seed conversation. There is talent on that roster but they had poor coaching as well. When you think that McHale is not a good coach, look no further than what apened in Denver to show you that it could be far worse.

Maybe he's a player that turns it on late, he's about 17/10 over his last 10 games. His stats and athletic upside for his position are going to fetch $12 Million on the open market. The Paul Milsap contract is an abberation and you are going to start seeing guys like that get paid versus slipping through the cracks when the cap goes up.

no denver was never going to be in that conversation. you dont get in that conversation without atleast 1 player that can lead a team to approx 50 wins in the west. that wasn't happening in Denver.

This conversation has already been discussed. I'll keep it short and simple. Faried is not a 20 and 10 player. You can't be a 20 and 10 player if you have no offensive moves and just rely on energy to get points.
