    A few notes....

We are only taking fundaments here in this thread (regarding John Lucas teaching)....But the reasons that the game has suffered can be blamed on many fronts...

First of course is, lack of fundaments taught early in a kids development.

    "Me-Me attitude" by players.

Lack of team play, more ISO plays (Shot clock management, forced shots).

Dunking is thought of as a "skill" vs shooting skill (gets you more Reebok contracts to dunk).

Kids coming out early and using the NBA as a "training ground" on the bench.

And last but not least. Team wide expansion (dilution of "talent").

If any of you young players out there want to learn the game the right way, go to one of John Lucas's classes. I dare you! It's a boot camp, I'm sure. And you might not understand why you are doing some of the drills. But later you'll realize it when things become eaiser (more natural feeling) in games. You'll be glad you went.

Remember, LeBron thinks the world of John Lucas. There's a good reason why.

Interesting to note that none of the "fundamentally challenged" Rocket players are participating...

    he and mobley that is
they need a Coach to drill them i think

Like he said, the Finals were boring as hell. I knew who was going to win.

Whether the definition is yours or mine, the Finals were boring.
