I'm calling 3rd party involvement. Since there's already been a wide array of opinions on this matter, from stupidity to objectivity, I'm gonna go ahead and add a little crazy conspiracy thoughts: Somebody in Kobe's crew slipped her a Ruppy(sp?) and tagged her after Kobe and she can't remember anything much. or Somebody drugged her and Kobe was under the assumption that she was normal. or Somebody injected some rage roids in Kobe's food to make him go crazy. or Kobe just goes crazy around hot 19yr old cheerleader chicks or they did it consentually, but then afterwards, her boyfriend or someone else cooks up the scheme and puts a beating on her to make it look like Kobe did it or it was her plan all along or they both were stupid drunk and couldn't remember a thing Now I'm going to go look for my "Body Shots" DVD to see into the future and find out what's going to happen.... ...calling it now: Hung Jury. Just my crazy thoughts.
Assuming he's an innocent adulterer, he didn't read all of Jordan's book and didn't pay her enough money to keep her mouth shut.
http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic=47072&forum=1&start=75 I think Kobe is guilty. Someone at Lakersground argues that only the rapists don't have time to put the raincoat on and as a result some whitey stuff was found as evidence. It makes hell a lot of sense to me. What do you guys think?
Yet no one is calling HER a money grubbing w****....you think she's sticking around for the love & respect she gets?
I don't get why it's so hard for some people to believe that Kobe would cheat on a woman as beautiful as Mrs. Bryant. The Coolidge Principle explains that a man will eventually become tired of sex with even the most beautiful woman, but will always be enthusiastic about new partners.
IF Bryant did what he is being accused of he is scum. IF the girl had sex with Kobe so she could seek fame and fortune through this she is sick. IF he only had sex with her and cheated on his wife, then like he said, thats between him and his. IF people are in anyway happy about this situation because it will help their favorite team out during the season they are really pathetic, low life pricks.
One interesting thing to note in that Vanessa has been involved in her own scandal as well. So it wouldn't be surprising is she understands his predicament in a twisted way. I wouldn't. But I can easily see why she would. My bad. Wrong wife
Caught Kobe's act on Fox News Channel last night. Admitting to adultery but not rape is kind of like Reagan saying "I take all of the responsibility but none of the blame" for the Oliver North episode. This girl is going to come out of this set up for life. The thing to remember is that it's ALWAYS about the money. One of two things will happen: The case goes to trial and Kobe wins. She then files a multi-million civil suit againt Kobe and they "settle" out of court. Or, Kobe's lawyers ask her "How much will it take to make this go away?" and she names her price and tells the DA that she won't testify at the trial (ala Michael Jackson's accuser). Case closed. I have no sympathy for Kobe "Jackass" Bryant. It's not as if this is the first time this has happened to a pro athlete. And he's supposed to be one of the "smart" athletes! (makes you wonder what the "dumb" athletes would do...) As Baretta used to say: "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time".
I get the feeling that this isn't the first time he did this behind his wife's back. Sooner or later you're going to get caught cheating on your wife. It's even sickening for his wife to support him after all this. Once a cheater always a cheater. The guy is a sick prick to cheat on his wife. Celebrities don't really give a **** cause they're rich and most average income people wouldn't dare do such thing. Even if he didn't rape her, he deserves some kind of punishment!
Beauty has nothing to do with it - some guys just want to have it all. In that case, no one women will ever be enough to satisfy them. I think it finally hit him at the press conference that he was really in deep sh*t that he brought down on himself. I mean didn't these guys ever hear of escort services? Compare his press conference with Michael Irvin's after he got nailed for the first time. You could see that he really didn't give a sh*t and was putting on a "show" of contrition. He even had his funbaby up there. One week later he was back cruising around. Next he gets caught buck-ass nekkid in an apartment with a woman (not his wife once again). Ever seen Irvin's wife? She's drop-dead gorgeous as well. That's just not enough for some guys I suppose.
for "he says, she says" cases, why not to use a lie-detecting test? At least use it as part of the investigation? If Kobe is innocent, he will volunteer taking one, just to get his reputation back. If he refuse to take one, then he is guilty as hell.
Lie-detector tests aren't reliable. They can be easily fooled, and they can often give erroneous false readings.
I don't know if he's guilty or not. I do know that originally Kobe's statement did not admit adultery. He only said you guys know me, I shouldn't have to say ANYTHING. That tune changed quickly once the DNA evidence was in. That doesn't prove him guilty or make him more innocent just that his tune changed. I never bought Kobe's squeaky clean image anyway. I thought he was cocky and played the role of hero rather than just being a hero. It always looked to me like when he played with any kind of injury, Kobe liked to play it up in order seem more heroic. He's a fantastic ball player, but I think he also enjoyed and wanted to be the super heroic kind of guy also. I didn't buy into it, and I think tons of people did. Either way the image of him as the super good guy basketball player is gone, and I'm happy, because I don't think it was real to begin with. I don't know if he's guilty or innocent or what happened. I can think of about five or six different scenarios of what might have happened on either side.
You think NBA player and a 19-year-old girl can fool it? Actaully whether they refuse to take a test probably tells more than the test itself.
Fooling it's not the big deal though, even if it's possible - the machine calling a truth a lie is. Consider that a 19yr old girl, in an already stressful situation, might answer truthfully to a question, but because of the stress she's under - it might register as a lie. They aren't reliable devices.
