Guys, how bad is a .500 record really?
Let's say we finish 42-40....and we have 3 (we'll only be drafting 2 for ourselves) draft picks next year....roughly 10~12million in cap space....that's at least 3 new players to do what we didn't do this year.....Now, forget that.....Everybody knows that a point guard takes 3 years to perfectly develop.....Francis will have 2 seasons under his belt....Cato will have played, Hakeem will be happy somewhere else, Mo Taylor will have fit in perfectly....

    Check it out:

    Cato
    Taylor
    Anderson
    Mobley
    Francis

    Bench:

    Collier
    Thomas
    Norris
    draft pick
    draft pick
player we get from cap left over

Okya, so we won't have the new 4.5 million exception....that hurts....but we'll have roughly that much cap space left after Mo Taylo signs (hopefully)....

Now, remember, dallas were 42-40 last year.. Look where they are now.....they're among the best teams in the West....I don't mind just being above .500 this year and tearing it up next year....

    who do you prefer?

    Nowitzki-Finley-Nash (Bradley and Eisley)
    or
    Francis-Mobley-Taylor (Anderson & Cato)

Not to mention we have a better bench....

missing the playoffs isn't really that bad, caouse I know we'll be a high seed next year no matter what happens this year...

Sane is really correct on the .500 record not being that bad. We have just begun what is essentially the second year of re-building. Remember that it wasn't really until last season about halfway through that we had lost both Dream and Barkley and had to rely on our young players.

If we go 41-41 this season, that is a HUGE improvement over last year's 34-48. Any team that can improve 7 games in the win column consistently is on the right track. We'd all like to believe the Rockets could leap from the lottery to the playoffs, but anything is an improvement.

    Me fail English? That's unpossible.
