Remember, you have to actually LIKE the band. Here are some of mine. Losing My Religion - REM (started their downward spiral) Under the Bridge - RHCP (started their downward spiral) With or Without You - U2 The Space Between - DMB Fitter Happier - Radiohead Island in the Sun - Weezer
wait a second...you don't like "with or without you?" i thought we had common ground...but this is it...i think we should just be friends now! seriously, i love that song! there are a few songs off Everyday I could do without. i don't like "if you love someone set them free" by Sting. and that was really his first big solo hit, if i remember right.
You suck! This is kind of hard, when my favorite band has a song I don't like, it's usually one buried in their cds that I don't listen to and forgot how they go or the title. Stuck in a Moment-U2 is the only one that comes to mind, I still listen to it though.
Oski, that's why I picked that one for U2. I don't listen to them as much as I used to, so I picked one that was a hit because I could definitely remember it. Grace is one I don't remember liking all that well also.
"Tales of a Scorched Earth" - Smashing Pumpkins (that song absolutely sucks!) Most of "Amnesiac" by Radiohead (the only Radiohead album that I think was average or worst) "Hot Hot Hot!!!" - The Cure
I recorded that album to my hard drive this morning and left that song off, along with "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses". Radiohead - "High and Dry" The Cure - "The Kiss"
To the tune of "Tom's Diner": My name is Mel Sharples and I live in Arizona. I'm the fry cook at Mel's Diner and I also am the owna'. When I saw Suzanne Vega in concert about 10 years ago, she had the crowd sing the "duh-duh-duh" part and she sang the verses, all completely a capela.
REM - Shiny Happy People Radiohead -- Good call, Manny. All of Amnesiac except for "You And Whose Army" and "Like Spinning Plates" Beatles - Revolution 9/Good Night U2 - The Wanderer (sorry, Johnny) The Police - Mother I know there's a crappy Dylan song out there, but I can't think of one right now.
Radiohead - Fitter, Happier U2 - When Love Comes To Town Phish - Wading In The Velvet Sea moe. - Stranger Than Fiction
Yeah, "High and Dry" is like one my favorite Radiohead songs ... Oski -- have you ever heard the studio acoustic version of "Stuck in a Moment"? It's amazing, and it was only after hearing that version that I began to appreciate the album version.
BINGO! But come on, Good Night is a neat song...I'd like to hear it while I'm falling asleep, I bet that'd be neat.
Musically, it's a good song, but I really don't like Ringo's vocal on that one for some reason. In fact, I think he sounds awful on it. Which is weird because I normally like his vocals -- Octopus' Garden, Yellow Submarine, etc.
