And like clockwork, the tanking excuse comes up again. Let me walk you guys slowly through this once again. With Jeremy Lin on the court, Lakers down 10 points with 6 minutes left in the game. Lakers got the game down to 4 points with Jeremy Lin sitting on the bench. Its better to leave Jeremy Lin on the court if you truly want to tank.
Lin already works out during the off season with Nash, but I guess Clarkson is the Lakers future and Lin will likely be looking for another team. He's going to be a journeyman in the NBA, but never a star.
I could be wrong (I haven't bothered checking the entire thread), but it seems to me that mig0s is a LOH who is pretending to be a LOF just to drive up the crazy quotient. I'm a fan of Lin, but really? This and a similar post above (like Lin = Magic Johnson) is clear evidence that mig0s is trolling hard and that people are falling for it and using that as an excuse to bash Lin some more.
Byron Scott calling out Lin's selfishness and attempt to pad his stats while playing bad teams. “We were selfish as a basketball team,” Scott said. “I put [Lin] in the same category as everybody else to be honest with you,” Scott said. “I didn’t really see one guy that I thought came out with the right mindset.”
That's odd, didn't Lin had like 7 assists and the entire team had like what 14? I wonder what Scott meant when he said Lin was selfish, was he hogging the ball or something?
Byron is really not the best guy for the anti-lofs to turn to. He says a lot of things that just make no sense at all (most recent example: doesn't like pick and rolls because they are easy to defend). It is possible he was referring to Lin's defense in the first half, but with Byron it is almost impossible to tell.
I imagine Lin would be a better analysis than Magic. Then again Courtney Love would be better than magic.
Guys, we should all take Byron Scott's basketball knowledge as the truth. He coached the Nets to back-to-back finals appearances. He won Coach of the Year in New Orleans. His wisdom is unmatched. I don't even know why people questioned BS for not fouling with 40 seconds left on the clock down 1 possession. It made perfect sense. Lin actually executed BS's plan perfectly. Kobe disobeyed the BS plan that time. Look where Kobe is now, on the bench. Obey the BS game plan and you get playing time. BS is a good coach. Take his every word as the truth.
