Bev just needs to focus on 3 and D. Cut out the dribble dribble dribble non-sense, because he sucks at playmaking and it's distracting him from what he does best.

Keep it simple Bev! 3 AND D!!!

It's the norm for him. :)

Anyone that does not believe the obvious....that this team needs another play-maker on the perimeter....graduated from Javal McGee School for the Gifted.

So out of all of this I see 1. Primary playmakers for their team. And/or 2. Primary scorers for their team. Roles Neither of which belong to PB nor is he capable of. The only 3 and D player on that list who can't get their own shot and gets wide open 3s consistently created by others. So the point of this was?

Patrick Beverley is a specialist but he is getting the role and minutes of a starting caliber PG.

When the Rockets finally address the hole for another playmaker on the perimeter to help Harden out, then we will see Beverley play his role in reduced minutes and actually excel at it.

Sorry, Pablo Pringles does not count.

Until then, Rockets have to live with this crutch on offense. With Ariza on at the same time, its Double the crutches, Double the fun for opponents.

    Strictly on offense, of course.

Case in point: Imagine how much worse Ariza would have looked if we didnt have Brewer splitting his minutes.

Bev is the perfect fit for our system. He isnt going anywhere. His stellar defense is needed to shut the likes of lillard, parker, cp3...

Stagnant offense and a PG that passes like he is cross-eyed?

He is perfect as a bench, high-motor guard.

Except he can't shut them down. They all still have their way with us.

wow, that's so 2013. He was stellar pre-injury.

Now he loses us games. He doesn't fit playing beside Harden and Ariza.

Hey, hey... Harden has evolved on D. He is no longer the Magikarp of defense.

I would start Pablo and slide Bev to the bench.

    Just my 2 cents...

A moderator should change the title of this thread. It is embarassing and insulting.

This board is extremely popular, and I'm sure some players are aware of the things that are said. Negativity is just part of being a sports fans... there are ups and downs. Everyone understands.

That said, putting up a headline like this that appears on the front page frequently is really bad in my opinion.

    Thanks,
    Will

i agree, the mods can make an easy fix with "Patrick Beverley has been playing like GARBAGE" -- which references only his recent play and not his overall career or him as a person

How about "The curious case of Patrick Beverley" or "Patrick Beverley - X-Factor"?

This is a fan site and fans come here to let out. There are rules on this site, which I think are very well enforced. If you go a step beyond to what can be said about a player, then I think it might just turn people off. The criticism about Bev is valid. The title could be better, but it is what it is, un-auldeterated raw emotions from the fans, which keep this site real and popular.

Every time I see him run around pretending he is setting up a play a like he is command, I want to puke. It only results in less clock to work with and handing the ball to Harden 30 feet away from the basket.
