Desperation would be resigning Rondo just to prove that trade wasn't for nothing. Cuban should let him walk.

Mavs will be great next once once they sign Beverley to a max contract in the offseason. He is their missing piece.

Remember when the Mavericks were title contenders after makin the deal for Rondo?

Now they're the ones that the 7 other playoff teams want to play in the first round.

This is what happens when you don't develop talent and you sign old guys all the time

I remember when they were contenders when Cuban signed a fat Parsons and fat Felton.

Rockets were destined to be 4th maybe even 5th in the division. Funny how that worked out.

Cavs beating the overrated Mavs was just great. I bet Cuban isn't very happy right now. :)

Mavs defense is like a sieve. Most overrated team I have seen in a while.

I'm kinda worried about that Utah game on Thursday. That's going to be a brutal back to back against an all of a sudden pretty dang good Jazz team.

No doubt. There's a reason it was so important for the Rockets to win that Denver game. The remaining 3 games on this roadie are not easy. And yes, the Jazz are playing way better lately. Remember, they beat the Grizzlies in Memphis last week, so they're no joke.

BTW, Dallas just opened a 5-game homestand tonight. Their opponents? Cleveland(who just whooped em by 33 points), LA Clippers, OKC, Orlando, and Memphis. And their schedule after that ain't much easier. I really hope they find a way to avoid the 8th seed.

mavs are reeling right now and i know everyone wants to play them, but just remember that carlisle is a great playoff coach. he did take the champs to 7 games last year.

spurs are coming together at the right time thanks to their health and easy schedule. tbh their recent win streak doesn't mean much since they haven't beat anybody good (raptors suck, 1-9 in their last 10 too), but it's hard to count them out EVER. while we match up well with them, i don't really want to play them in the first round. i want revenge on the blazers!

My preference would be Mavs, Blazers, Spurs, Memphis. Really want no part of GSW, Clips, or OKC in the 1st round. I don't think I've ever been this excited about an NBA playoffs. The West is going to be absolute must watch TV every single game. Can't wait!

Fair to say that the deadline trade isn't working so well for some teams....like the Pistons. Reggie Jackson really struggling.
