He can be elite at certain aspects on defense (i.e. switching onto ball handler off PnR defense) but you're right DMo will never be as good a defender as a focused dwight. What's your point? DMo can be a very good complimentary player next to Dwight, especially now that his 3s are failing at a great clip. IF what Cyberx is true and the rockets are able to secure dwight's buy in on playing a more defensive-minded role than DMo weaknesses will be minimized by Dwight's strength suits (rebounding and defense).

haha...you can't argue with this guy. He and a few others are just reliable DMO haters...they go out of their way to denigrate his play. It's pure intellectual dishonesty based on some deep rooted hate for him. Def doesn't understand basketball.

I donot believe in this team couching staff, so for D-mo is the best option to leave team and develop elsewhere, this team have too many strong personalities. As with national team JV, is influence on media is stronger. IHO if D-mo will not leave in nearest future, he will miss his chance to develop in the future. U cannot play like old Sabonis when u are 24. Somebody have to start teaching this guy to jump and dunk. Defense is OK for me from him now, but it could be much better if he will stop thinking about team and start thinking about himself and future contract, that should motivate him more. For one game stop running around and defend a guy u are assigned to. When DH will be back, there will be no playing time nor it will be someone passing ball to him in the post, it will be Show Time, and all eyes will be on them not on him. Yesterday was best way to shut commentators of was to go and dunk that ball after T F.

I agree with most of this except that his poor rebounding can and should change. There are talented rebounders in this league who have even less athleticism and explosiveness than Dmo. Rebounding is a skill. There's anticipation, body placement, boxing out, etc. It's difficult to explain but Dmo never really looks ready to rebound. I really hope he gets better at it because otherwise it will limit his potential.

Lol at the crowd who called him untouchable.

He should have been shipped for one of those pg's.

Dmo is fine, people need to chill the hell out. He is not comfortable while playing C. The guy is great, this team isn't really built all that well and memphis is superior. Not sure why you are complaining.

I'm complaining because this team lacks a second ball handler.

He sucks as a center. When Dwight comes back, he must play alongside him. DMo just isn't big or strong enough to match up with any center in the NBA.

And people believe this guy is gonna get a $10 mil/year contract. This guy still has a long way to go before someone commits that kind of money

Really tough matchup for D-Mo tonight against an elite front court. A good coach with a clue would've given him less minutes and more minutes for Josh Smith. Instead, both played the same amount of minutes.

This is exactly why anyone who says coaching is overrated doesn't have a clue. A simple decision to give Smith more playing time would've given the Rockets a win.

He'd drop 20+ nightly if he had even some semblance of a backbone.

I understand he's not built to be a center but still, HIT THE FREAKING WEIGHT ROOM.

However, his 3 ball seems to be coming along nicely.

You don't have to be built like a center to play tough
