    Why would you not want Harden to win the MVP?

    It's fun to have a superstar on your team with the hardware to back it up.

    Ask the Mavs fans how they felt about Dirk winning the MVP and the #1 seed and getting kicked out of the playoffs in the first round at the hand of #8 seed.

    Ask the Spurs fans how they about Robinson winning the MVP, only to have his ass handed to him in the WCF by a far superior player.

    I would rather Harden NOT win the MVP if this team is going to get out in the first round again. It will be more of a stigma.

    I actually don't want Harden to win MVP. He plays better with a chip on his shoulder. Let's win a ring first, he can get his MVPs later ;)

    I don't even know where to begin. This MVP chase is flat out getting out of hand.

    When you'd rather your team lose to boost a chance of your players MVP chances, something is wrong. We need to win each and every game possible.

    Championship>MVP.

    I stopped reading after "should we cheer for the Rockets to lose."

    I get your point, but the end goal is and will always be to win a ring. This game should be approached with the mindset that this is a time for the rest of the guys to show what they can do without harden. Either for better or for worse. It's either going to be awesome because they show signs of playing well together or horrible because they can't do a thing without harden.

    I would love for harden to win MVP, but more than that I want to see my rockets get a ring. And although harden is a major factor for this team's successful in the playoffs, the other guys need to step up and this game is the perfect time. Remember, regular season is nice but the playoffs is what matters. You practice it now so you can perfect it for playoff time.
