I didn't know if this should go here or the nutty thread. But I'm sure she's not racist. Radio Host:Congressmen Should Hang 'From A Noose' For Skipping Bibi Speech "I would like to think that these guys could pay with their lives, hanging from a noose in front of the U.S. Capitol building," King said in the audio clip. "Most of those members who are opting out of attending the speech are members of the Congressional Black Caucus. And their districts are all dumb clucks. Because the dumb clucks wouldn't be electing these people if they knew better."
This has to be one of the shadiest speeches I've ever heard (taking into account both Bush and Obama). It's borderline disgusting . Basically trying to dictate US foreign policy while speaking out of both sides of his mouth. (Then again, what politician doesn't? Unfortunately the reasoning behind the speech makes it worse). Anyone else watching this crap?
Not sure if this perspective on Bibi's plan has already been shared or not: http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2015/03/the-mystery-of-the-netanyahu-disaster-and-a-possible-explanation/386644/
Never has a US President looked weaker on foreign policy than today. As Obama attempts to undermine Israel's national security with a bad deal with Iran, Netanyahu just came to Obama's backyard and publicly humiliated him to thunderous applause. Obama comes away looking weak and outclassed. No surprise, really, considering he isn't a good leader and has no experience leading. Netanyahu is right to be weary of any foreign policy deal that Obama strikes. Remember, this is the same man who traded 5 known terrorists for Beau Bergdahl -- a man who now faces desertion charges. This was a move done for a photo opp at the White House. The Iran negotiations are driven by Obama's vanity, which always takes priority over common sense or the public interest.
So we should listen to a guy who guaranteed taking down Saddam would have "enormous, positive reverberations in the region"? I think America should do what it feels is right.
Netanyahu says 9/11 terror attacks good for Israel "We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor." Netanyahu is the Israeli Dick Cheney.
Good comparison, politically anyway. He's a real fanatic. The next time he wants the U.S. to invade someone he should just send Israelis to handle it. We can sit out the next ME disaster.
1. To be fair, she's not a real radio host as in regulated by the FCC. She has a radio blog and a wordpress site. She has almost 2,000 friends on Facebook. She really does seem to be nutty, but to say she's a 'radio host' confers an air of authority or influence she doesn't actually command. She's a Floridian with a computer. I found her show alongside 2,400 (literally) other radio blogs at blogtalkradio.com. 2. She issued an apology for her ill-considered framing of her thoughts. I guess the Obamabots got to her.
You're letting your distaste for the current US president lead you to believing the Israeli PM SEEKING re-election, actually gave credible foreign policy points in his speech and actually provided solutions to foreign policy issues he "identified". I believe the poster after you already responded to your 2nd paragraph. I think it should be clear who to be more wary of when it comes to any foreign policy deal and I would think it'd be the one basically trying to get another country to war with another (He said it w/o saying it).
This is really sad, and to the people supporting that POS coming here, I don't even know what to say. Just about every top general in the Pentagon who has been opposed to Obama has come out and said that this is too far. Santiago , you should be ashamed of yourself.
I don't blame anyone for skipping the speech. What exactly did he say that was so enlightening? Not a damn thing was learned from that speech...other than the same stuff he has been saying.
http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2015/2/2/netanyahu-visit-concerns-american-generals.html if this begins the planting of a seed that derails the holy third rail American politicians and generals seem to have on this topic--great.
I caught some of Netanyahu's speech and I found it very unsettling. A foreign leader essentially gave the equivalent of a speech calling for the US to go to war with much of the US Congress cheering him on. This gave the strong impression of the Israeli Prime Minister dictating US foreign and military policy.
