Anyone dealt with this before? I was at jiujitsu and (im done capitalizing too hard) i was rolling with a judo brown belt and he tried to hip toss (o goshi) me and we ended up both falling and i got driven on to my shoulder. pretty immediately knew something was wrong and tapped. a chiropractor who trains there said he thought it might be a grade 1 or 2 separation but ill see a doctor tomorrow. it wasnt dislocated im pretty sure of that. i can do pretty much any motion except letting my shoulder drop. that is mega pain.
Never had anything like that, but that sounds awful. Get better. How does a brown belt in judo screw up o goshi? That is probably the most basic judo throw there is.
Tell the truth. You separated your shoulder fapping to Lebron walking backing to the locker room like a little biotch.
Yes a separated shoulder is what did my competitive martial arts career in and is a fairly common injury in Judo and other grappling sports. I rehabbed mine for six months straight and got it back working but not near what it was before. That was years ago but the last few years it has been getting worse and I'm very likely due for a surgery as it's affecting my quality of life now.
It was years ago but from what I remember it was Grade 2. It didn't require surgery then but considering I had dislocated it twice before it was already in bad shape. My shoulder has been degrading the last few years and am planning on getting it checked out again to see if surgery might be necessary.
