And yet you claim to know what Daryl Morey's plans for Terrence Jones are. Do you see the contradiction in your own claims?
They tried to trade Terrence and couldn't get value for him. The contradiction is the whole league doesn't value Terrence enough at present to offer up decent value for him and you guys think he's a future All-Star.
Oh Clutch, you really need to get on this. "Contributing Member" to "The Charles Barkley". Oh this has to happen.
Dunno. I have no idea how well Dwight is going to come back. But whatever minutes Dwight plays will cut into Terrence's first.
Where is your proof that they tried to trade TJones. You are making this claim as a fact and yet you say know one can know what Daryl is thinking. You state that your info is 2nd hand and yet your info is rock solid while someone else that gets info 1st hand doesn't know what he is talking about. Hmmm. Furthermore you had half the league in your sig as Daryl Morey trade targets and yet I didn't see Pablo Prigioni or KJ McDaniels in there anywhere. Nice job.
Same place Batman Jones' proof is on what Morey thinks about Terrence. I had 5% of the league in my signature and I did have Prigioni in there for a long time. Took him out to shorten the list and because I hadn't heard anything about him for over a month before the trade deadline. My signature was updated by who I heard about most recently. Look up my posts on Prigioni from a couple months ago. You'll see I posted about him. McDaniels I never heard anything about. That's why he was never in my list. And I've never claimed to know ALL the trade targets or discussions. I can only relate what I know about. Got it?
Really? So now you are claiming to have lunch with Daryl? Your sig says you are not an insider but know people. Having lunch with Daryl would make you an insider. Which is it? Once again...where is your proof the Rockets were actively trying to trade TJ?
Wow if it wasn't clear enough before that you can't be reasoned with or aren't willing to admit you're wrong, it is now with this post. If you can't see the arrogance and hypocracy of this statement I see there's no point in giving much weight to your opinion. I hope you realize the more stubborn you are with things like this the faster you lose credibility. But given the way you approach differences of opinion I don't see that sinking in so welcome to one of the few spots on my ignore list and only hope others will do the same so I don't have to read your propaganda any longer.
Can't give you that no more than Batman can tell you a lot of things Morey allegedly tells him about players.
There is a pretty significant difference when Batman tells us point blank who his source is. He has a mod that has backed his claim up. Your source is more secret than the deep throat informant of the Watergate scandal. To be fair I think you to be very knowledgable about the CBA and I actually agree with a lot of your analysis. The problem is your delivery and the fact that you become so emotionally tied to your opinions that you ignore the loudest, in your face facts about a player when it does not support your point of view. Perfect example is referring to TJones as a garbage player. Absolutely not a fact.
My crystal ball is lousy so I do not know who will or will not become an all star and, frankly, I do not care at this point. Presuming Dwight comes back in playing form in time for the playoffs I do think our best alignment is starting Howard and Jones with Motiejunas and Smith coming off the bench, This is not to say DMo and Smith are not starters in this league. I but believe this alignment gives us the best opportunity to win by playing to strengths and retaining a frontline scoring punch on the second unit, Like many here have said, though, the allocation of minutes (particularly in crunch time) should be a function of match ups and who is playing better. What a pleasure it is to have 4 quality bigs.
A garbage man/finisher (which is what I have said he is, not a garbage player) is a big man that finishes at the rim and puts back shots. What is Terrence if he's not a garbage man/finisher? When he has no range outside of 3 feet? I'm not going to reveal my sources. Batman has lunch with Morey but he's not free to tell a lot of what he hears. I'm not going to reveal my sources. That way I can reveal more information and keep my sources. That's just common sense.
I completely agree with this. TJones will continue to start IMO, at least through out the regular season. DMo, Josh, Brewer, Terry and Prigioni make up a very good bench. When the play-offs start I still think TJones gets the 1st crack at starting but defending on his defense (particularly if its against LMA and we are playing Portland). But if his he defends like he did last season, I could see Kevin changing up the line-up again and going with DMo or Josh with the starting unit.
By your definition Shaq is a garbage player. I would disagree with you on that as well. TJones has a very nice soft touch around the basket, not garbage at all. You can (and the Rockets do) drop the ball into him in the post. You can put the ball in his hands and he can create his own offense. That is not the definition of a garbage player.
No. The offense ran through Shaq. It doesn't run through Terrence. Shaq was posted up and then he made a play with the ball. He was clear cut opton 1a/1b in his prime. That's not a garbage man/finisher. Although Shaq was good at that too due to his immense size and athleticism. C'mon crash. You should know better. This feels like you're just nitpicking now. Bringing up Shaq and Terrence together is just ludicrous.
Jones is not a garbage man. Asik is a garbage man. Dorsey is a garbage man. Jones is a legitimately skilled player who can get his own shots by facing up and taking the ball to the hole.
Jones makes plays with the ball all of the time. I don't know what you are watching. Jones has a nice face-up game.
