He really doesn't. I'm not saying Jones was never raised in trade talks. I don't ask Daryl for inside info and when I get it I don't share it because it's obviously confidential. I can tell you for a fact though that your opinion of Jones is about as far from Morey's as is possible. Who's your source by the way? Mine is the Rockets' GM.

What kills me is how a lot of Jones haters act like he was the only one that was guarding him all series. He was doing that to everyone guarding him.

He still has a lot to learn but some people where blaming the whole series on him. I just think he has allstar potential.

LMA is probably Jones' worst matchup in the nba.

Blake shoves him around but as he gets stronger and Blake gravitates further away from the basket, it probably won't be so bad.

This team is very fortunate to have TJones on it. Best Morey draft pick in years.

DMO plays like an offensive center and TJ plays like a two-way PF with PG handles... We got some talented bigs. Love watching them work.

Killing me? You've got to be kidding me. They're is no one happier than I that he is coming up big for us right now. None of you seem to understand. I don't hate Terrence. I hope dude breaks out and becomes a superstar. I just don't think it's realistic to expect him to be more than a contributory bench player on a good team based on his skills and development so far. I don't see superstar. I don't see star. I don't see starter on a championship team. What I see in Terrence is a bench piece. That's not hating.

As far as Morey goes, Batman, Morey is not going to project to anybody right now that he thinks Terrence is limited. Because Terrence is on his rookie deal and Morey wants to maximize his asset value.

And for that matter so do I. I hope he averages 22/11 with shooting percentages of 55/38/78 with 3 blocks and 2 steals. Why? 1. Because he's a Rocket and I want to win. 2. Because I want his asset value at maximum.

Batman, Morey simply isn't in a position to reveal how he really feels about a player that plays for us. Can you imagine the damage control if it got out that he doesn't think Player X is going to last past his rookie contact or Player Y doesn't have the mental aptitude to ever be a plus player in the league? He'd probably get fired.

I'm not a hater. I simply haven't joined you Terrence hypers because I don't have any evidence to believe Terrence is anything more than just another of about 250 role players in this league.

    But. ...........he's still got potential.

    250 role players???
30 teams, so 8 guys per team as good as Jones

    Jones as a starter this year: 15.9ppg 9.3rpg 2.1bpg
There are only 50 players who average more ppg.
Of those 50, only 8 average more than 9.3rpg. Of those 8 only 1 averages more bpg (A Davis).
Jones isnt Davis, but he is in more elite compaby then you suggest. You are all 'anyone could give us his 15 and 9 and 2', yet nobody else does, or even does for us...

Tjones manages to look very awkward when handing the ball or any kind of scoring attempt. But hey, whatever wins.

No one is saying he is a star or a superstar, you are the one that questioned whether he was even going to stay in the league.

That's not true at all, Morey just needs to trust the person not to talk about it when it could be harmful, there are also dozens of ways to give non committal answers.

I understand that to the fullest Batman. If I had strong connection with any team FO, whatever I hear I wouldn't post on any social media site or tell any of my people either.

As far as what Morey thinks of Jones, I wouldn't know that either. I do however assume he thinks very highly of him and believes he is a key piece to our success.
