Outside of your mainstream stores like Academy and Sports Authority are there any decent places in the Houston area (specifically NW side of town) that sells boxing bag stands? Looking for this specifically: http://www.titlemma.com/punching-ba.../title-double-trouble-heavy-bag-stand-no-bags
Have you considered mounting directly into the wall or ceiling? I mounted a speed bag on my wall, and a double-ended bag directly into the ceiling along with a weight plate on the floor. I wasn't happy with the stability of the free-standing solutions, especially for the speed bag.
I thought about mounting on a wall but like the portability factor of a stand plus have concerns about hanging a 100 lb bag from the ceiling. The speed bag I'll probably mount on the wall however.
