as a tortured nyknick fan but a big van gundy fan, i just want to tell you houston rocket fans that you got a great coach in van gundy. as my knicks fall deeper and deeper down the toilet, i have become a big rocket fan not only because of van gundy but you guys have a solid group of players that will be a force....if they follow VG instructions. no one works harder than VG and an inside/outside game plan will bring consistency to the offense. you will grow to love VG despite his stupid looking plugs on his bald head. :)

She doesn't charge him, the DA does. He is the one who is dragging his feet, either because of $$$ or lack of evidence, I suspect we will never know which as this will get swept under the rug.

LittleY15...even I forgot! No...Maria must not beat me! And it wasn't YoYao...it was Yetti...who has disappeared to me. And anyways...you probably can't read this because of ignore list features.

I can't believe Jeff Van Gundy said that he didn't have any championship aspirations! God...these New Yorkers...well it's better than covering everything up and making excuses.

I think Van Gundy and Maria have got it about right and I am a long time big Rocket fan.

They may very well go undefeated for the entire season and then in the play-offs. Probably the greatest team ever put togather.

Payton is only 35 and has been a person to make a team closer everywhere he has been and alway been a total team player, getting along with all players and coachs. So he will fit right in.

Malone is only 40, just because he has been a jump shooter for the last few years, I am sure he can go back to playing like he was 30. He has never been one to take shots but always a pass first player, never been one to want to be the main man on a team, so he will fit right in.

Shaq, we can look for him to come into camp in the shape he was when he was 25, forget him playing his way into shape every year and the injuries for the last two years. Kind of reminds me of Hakeem when the injuries started, thats right he also was a play himself into shape player. But I am trying to remember, didn't the injuries only occur for a couple years and then he was injury free for several years? Wait maybe they continued to get worse every year.

Kobe, he will get his as he is young and proved last year that with enough shots he can average 40+ a game, but that does not always mean a win.

I totally agree with Van Gundy, greatest team ever put togather! ;)

Kobe is that much better. Don't let your hatred for a player blind you from the fact that this guy is one of the top 3-5 players in the league.

Cuttino Mobley couldn't carry Kobe's jock. You can only argue that Mobley had one better game than Kobe last year when he outscored him 29 to 22, but Kobe was only one assist shy of a triple double.

I like that Van Gundy said that. Keep the pressure of expectations on the Lakers and let them fall apart by themselves. They will be a good team. But at most, they will win 65 games. I'm guessing closer to 61 or 62. JVG did well to keep their egos inflated... There's no need to piss them off and motivate that much talent. They will crumble - at least as far as the huge win column goes. Still 60-65 games is nothing to sneeze at. But I bet the Rockets will beat them at least once.

Just be happy that Payton's 35 and Malone's 40. Otherwise we'd be ROYALLY screwed. We weren't going to win this year ANYWAY, so they might as well take this one.
