Is Harden a PG repellant??

There is some truth to this.

Look at the past 15 years at the best SGs in the league. Kobe's best backcourt mate was Derek Fisher. Wade's best PG was a washed up GP and Jason Williams (they did have Bron). Manu was benched because TP was handling the ball so much and took away from Ginobili's game. Brandon Roy's best mate was Steve Blake.

SGs with high usage rates cannot coexist with big time PGs. Klay plays so well off the ball so he can hang with Curry, but Harden can't.

    Thank You!!

I think that if we are going to keep star chasing the search should be for a star SF or PF not a star PG. While Harden is here and is as good as he is our PG should be supporting cast not more than that.

I missed this. None of them are true stars are they? they are not even borderline stars for that matter, they arent even starters in their respective teams (except for Bev). You were missing the point, we want something much better than Beverley, Lin or Brooks but while Harden is here i dont see it happening, and people keep asking for a PG but Harden is our PG. Any PG who comes to HOuston in the near future will have to accept they will be behind Harden, and the good to really good ones are not going to be OK with that.

Do you think Reggie Jackson would have been fine with that? He was unhappy in OKC because he could not progress while behind Westbrook, why would he be ok with having pretty much the same role here??
