Afflalo is 30-31 and will opt out this summer and become an UFA. You think a 30 game rental of Afflalo is worth a lottery pick??? McGee can at best be a backup center and would require sending to the Nuggets half the roster to match salaries. He also becomes UFA in 2016 and there would be no way to flip him to another team without sending a first round pick.
But who cares what the Morris twins think? The Fo is already trying to separate them because they are TROUBLE together. Kenyon Martin there is a big chance that he will retire and become an assistant coach. In the Bucks that was basically the sole reason he was signed. He is 37 and managed to get injured already as soon as he signed the contract for the remainder of the season.
Yes Kenyon has a bit left in the tank. He still can jump high and give 6 fouls and block some shots and bring energy. I b****ed and whined for Kidd hiring his old pal but he was useful. MAINLY though because he taught the young guys.
He suprisingly can still play. But as I said I think he will retire and join the staff. Also the problem is you cant rely on him to stay healthy. IF he is healthy though yes he can help. at least in the east he could.
Thanks for all the great info Codman. I prefer this version of you than the long riddles but I understand where you're coming from. As for jopatmc, OK.
That's what I was wondering with Afflalo. He's making 7 mil/yr right now, so presumably he'd demand at least that much in a new deal. Yet he plays the same position as Harden. I can't see the Rockets committing that much money to a backup. Unless they decided to move Ariza and have Afflalo playing alongside Harden, but I couldn't imagine them doing that. He'll be a great addition for the Blazers....for a few months. But there's no way Portland hangs onto both him and Matthews. One of them will likely be playing elsewhere next season which puts them right back where they were before the trade deadline.
