Was it Paps or Jet? You said Pap in the first post. I am just curious, I would guess the vets here wanted Jet to stay.
If this is true, I am glad Morey didn't goof up big time. No need to give up Jones and the Jet for JJ. Now if we were getting Augustin, it would be ok with me, even though it be hard to depart with them.
Cod, thanks for the insights, very helpful for us fans to hear some of the inner workings and comments. Prigs, while old, brings some intangibles and a true PG mentality that we've been missing at the 1. I've been so frustrated with our ability to get passes to our low post guys, maybe he helps solve that problem.

Hey codman, I trust you more than any other 'insider' Anywho, I'm just wondering if you've heard why Morey didn't go after Brandon Knight? He would have been perfect since he can play off the ball and isn't a traditional PG. Couldn't Morey have beat the Phx offer of that Lakers protected pick? That pick will prob be 2016, and even then, won't be as good since Lakers won't be as bad as they are now. Pelicans pick and Knicks 2nd rounder seems close to value. Thanks for the info again.
Not sure about cuts, but there are a TON of guys looking to be bought out. -Look for one PF (Tough) (Bounced around a little bit) -Look for one combo/guard (Morey type of player, low risk, high reward i.e. Jsmith) -*Darkhorse: Shooting Guard that fits our no 2 point jumpers. Not my coaching philosophy, but we'd do well with Rip Hamilton. We need some easier shots. My fingers are crossed for 2 of our brothers to come home, but that's separate from above. I wonder if one of the buyout guys in Codman's list is Jameer Nelson. Is his relationship with Dwight fixed or still frayed? Can he still play some? The team just need somebody other than Harden who can create off the dribble, at least at a somewhat good level. Harden is great but even if you play him 38-40 mpg, a lot can happen in the 8-10 minutes that he sits. Besides, it's too easy for a good opposing D focus on Harden now. Take the ball out of his hands, and all you have to do is worry about 3 point shots for the most part. You can run out hard at these guys because they are not much of a threat to finish at the basket.
Brandon Bass or Gary Neal sound like guys Cod could be referring too! Idk if Bass is tough... But Neal is deff a combo guard.
I like Jameer, but he isn't much better than Prigioni. I would be much more interested if Perkins was bought out or waived.
