It appears that Morey couldn't get his guy so his strategy was to PLUG THE LEAKS in the boat..meaning...when Harden,Ariza and Beverly go to the bench there will not be as much "drop off" in production on offense and defense. When those 3 guys sometime go to the bench our offense starts to tank without a true backup point guard running the floor. Maybe that is what Morey was looking at. Heck Pablo might outperform Beverly on some nights.

Was hoping to wake up and see a trade that was better than those two.

Well, the Rockets gave up picks to acquire Shved, then turned around and gave up picks to unload him....so, we got rid of some picks?

    2 different type of fans

A)The first are ones like you & others, content w/ getting booted out the 1st round every year aslong as we have "winning seasons". Morey's been here almost 10yrs yet we've only been out the 1st round ONE time. Yet we should be thankful Morey's stockpiling assets all to chase after this imaginary "3rd star". Getting a "3rd star" is the goal apparently:rolleyes:

    AND

B)Second are fans like myself & others who want BADLY for our team to get out the 1st round. We don't care about anything else. Our main question is "are we good enough to get out the 1st round and FINALLY become a contender". If we don't win a 1st round playoff series there are absolutely no positives this season. Last offseason was brutal. Stockpiling asset, cheap contracts mean nothing without playoff success.

Thanks. Encouraging to hear that. Safe to say Hinkie did us a solid again.

Well we kept the core intact, I really think Canaan will be a decent player but maybe the Rox think Johnson is the better pick there.

So, for me these moves are meh, but the team is still good enough if Dwight is healthy.

Would like to pickup McGhee if he is bought out.

Dorsey shouldn't be put into the position to guard these guys. We will hopefully have Dwight back by then as well as DMO to fill in at center. Not to mention Josh Smith if needed. Jones can always pick up the PF spot when these guys are being occupied to guard the bigger centers.

Think the KJ trade could potentially be big, IF he can learn to shoot the ball well.

Having KJ for a maximum of $6M from next year onwards means one of Ariza or Brewer become expendable, and Ariza/Brewer can be packaged with other assets to land our PG in the summer!

I thought you would be thrilled? We kept almost all the young players, which you wanted, and got yet another young player that appears to have a very good upside. All cats that we can continue to develop, plus McDaniels, another player to develop. Besides that, we got a point guard who doesn't turn the ball over and shoots 40% from behind the arc, 47% last season from the corners. Perhaps he'll end up being like Terry, a nice surprise, and can reduce both Terry's minutes, and Bev's. And you're unhappy?

KJ can will likely get better at the offensive side, given his reputation for being a hard worker. Defensively, dude is reportedly an elite defender going back to his college days. All of that and he is just 22, so there is lots of room for improvement.

No clue why we moved Canaan for a rental of McDaniels. Seemed like Morey just made moves to make moves..

Not for this year's playoff run, McDaniels's development remains to be seen.

Not sure why some of you are so high on Prigioni. On paper his stats look okay, but has anyone actually watched any Knicks games this season? I'm not sure he even cracks the rotation.

Shved's stats were great too and he was pure ass.

Interesting I look forward to them playing together.

We could also play Prigioni and KJ together.

Well then I guess you meant "A" fans are the smart ones who knows what's going on and the "B" fans are stupid/old fans like Tinman and Hermanos who b**** and whine about everything Rox-related while still claiming to be Rox fans. If the Rox get out of the first round this year will you lot shut up? I bet you just change the "Out the first round 1x" to "Out the 1st round 2x" and will still whine and moan next year.

The Rox are on a trajectory similar to the OKC thunder, they sucked 6 years straight then suddenly entered playoffs as a contender. A fans could see that coming, B fans probably got poleaxed and whined about how the Rox aren't OKC. Houston has only been out of the first round 1 time but the every iteration of the Rox the last couple of years has been better than the last, only total idiots ignore that and keep moaning about the damn first round stat.

This year a waste? Hardens an MVP contender, the team plays defense, we added Ariza, Brewer, Smith, Kpap, Terry, KJM, Pablo, Johnson, Capela...all these kids can play and contribute and you act like the Rox did nothing? Even the pelly pick looks like a lotto pick and that's nothing? The team has like 2/3 new players and Dwight is injured but somehow has a top4 record and they did nothing? Yeah OK keep getting blindsided bruh.

McDaniels isn't a rental. If anything Brewer is more of a rental than KJ
