Why didn't we just keep the 2 picks and let Shved's contact just expire??

Only $290K of his contract is guaranteed next year.

NYK can use one of their TPE's to absorb Shved's contract.

The way I see this trade :

Shved making around 3 mils plus

Prig making 1.6+1.7 mils this and next year.

So money wise they are matching.

    They both suck donkey ass.

They both are the end of the bench guy.

But instead of let go of the whole 3 plus mil cap space, Morey is able to savage half of it to use in the summer for potential trade filler.

That's how this trade went down.

Watched his highlights... clearly a smart player. Doesn't play like he's 37, truthfully. Seems very willing to create for others and gets his shot off quickly. This might actually work if Bev can turn up the heat on his defense. Bev's health worries me.

I don't mind it. He fills a need, and I'm on board with anything/anybody who can relieve Harden even the slightest bit.

This is a solid move for a backup pg. I'd be happy if i weren't disappointed we couldn't get dragic/lawson:(

I'd be disappointed in losing Donatas.

This trade is upsetting, now that i'v settled and looked at it.

I'd personally like Shved more the Prigioni, with age obviously being a factor, but Shved is talented as well. Trading a second is also ridiculous, I'd much rather have a second rd pick alone over Prigioni, but TWO seconds AND Shved, that's just ****ing r****ded. The knicks 2nd will be a early one as well. I don't mind Prigioni, he's a great shooter I know. But he isn't worth nearly what we gave up for him. Shved alone should of been plenty.

    Anti morey move, weird.

He's Argentinian, pls. Teammates with Scola, Delfino, Nocioni and Manu on their golden national team.

I know he's our token Argentinian player ;)

I thought that was what we were offering. Probably no one wanted Jones because of his nerve injury

I hear u but just remember he is not the real TJones right now. We can use the lottery pick on another guard.

solid role player with a well rounded game. I like this move for a contending team shoring up a bench for the playoffs. ...only problem is that we are not a contending team. We needed to make some more ambitious moves. This helps, but it's not going to move the needle.

These are "ho-hum" moves on paper. But the Rockets have improved vastly from the beginning of the season.

This season the Rockets have added J Smooth, Brewer, McDaniels, Prigioni. And they lost Black, Cannon, Garcia, Shved.

The team is strong. We just need to have Dwight get healthy.

Dwight, D-Mo (primary BKUP), Dorsey, Capella
    D-Mo (starting), Smith, Jones
    Ariza, Brewer, Papanikalou
Harden, McDaniels, Terry (as a 3 pt specialist), Johnson
Beverly, Prigioni (a 3 pt specialist and competent PG)

I know the trades don't impress. But these moves help out lot. With Prigioni, Terry and McDaniels are going to spell Harden and let him rest for the playoffs. McDaniels apparently was coming into his own as the season was progressing.

Prigioni is going to have a bigger role than a lot of people expect.

Beverly, Prigioni, and Terry are competent point guards. It will be a point guard by committee.
