    That's nice.

Those are also very different situations. Dirk just played in the All-Star game. Hakeem wasn't exactly making those at that stage in his career. It's easy to be loyal to the end when the end is as graceful as Dirk's.

On the subject of Hakeem, I'm curious...who is that older gentleman he sits next to at so many of the games? Must be a cool cat because a friend of Hakeem is a friend of me.

I am truly shocked to realize that Tinman and half of this board will be looking at Cuban longingly during the Mavs game.

    WTF is this place becoming?

Didn't Cuban let Nash walk in FA to get Dampier? And didn't Cuban dismantle his championship team after it just won him a ring? You are so delusional LOLOLOL

That doesn't changed what happened in the past.

mike tyson and Evander holyfield are good friends now.

    hakeem doesn't hold grudges.

    However Barkley does.

Because the these losers think it's cool to hate on the Rox team. THey hate on everything ROx-related, they hate the owner, they hate the GM, they hate the coach they hate the players yet they call themselves "fans" of the team. Honestly I'm not sure why they still follow the Rox, they seem to despise everything about it.

Your argument in large part hinges on Cuban's superior ability to maintain relationships. I would say Mr. Alexander has done a pretty good job of that over the years given how many legends show up every time we suit a possible free agent.

Generally speaking I would prefer to model my attitude after The Dream, not The Cream.

Letting Parsons go was Morey's decision. Letting Dragic go was Morey's decision. Direct your anger to the correct place.

What about the ugly ass uniforms in 96?
What about sending his lawyer to Louisville?
What about csn houston? Sorry people who prefer satellite and u verse got screwed.
What about calvin Murphy losing his job?
What about talking to rick adelman when jvg was coaching in the playoffs?
What about purposely giving adelman less money so he quits?

There is so much crap that Tinman is posting in this ridiculous, disgusting thread asking if the Rockets want Mark Cuban as owner. I don't. I would rather vomit every day for the rest of my life than ever see Mark Cuban associated in any way with the Rockets.

But this might be the most crap out of all of it. Because of the fact that some random person joined some Rockets website when it started in 99 makes them a more 'pure' Rockets fan? Because Rockets fandom is measured by what date somebody joined Clutchfans?

That's just pathetic. I would think that was supposed to be a joke, but the sad part is I think he is being serious.

I am done with this thread. I will not read any more nonsense about Mark Cuban. I am going to try to do my best to forget that this thread ever existed.

Do you prefer the Mavs or the Rockets? It's that simple.

No it isn't - I don't cheer for Leslie Alexander - I cheer for the Rockets, was a fan before he even bought the team and Charlie Thomas owned it.

And frankly all the noise you hear about him being willing to spend is just that, noise - the team has been frugal for years - nothing wrong with that - but it is what it is.

You'll agree that EVERYONE who voted for Cuban likes the Mavs to some degree. Kinda wishes we were the Mavs. . . .

What makes 99ers pure? We all joined for same reason that this place was created.
    The purest reason.

So some of you can't get past mark cuban the personality vs the owner. Like if you don't like dallas it's understandable.
Just like you don't like san Antonio.

But don't be blinded that things could better. Howard jones said that.

The poll is open to all, not just 99ers.
and they voice their opinions with a click.

read my words but hear their voices. Shout clutchfans, shout.
    Let it all out.

Would you want him as the rockets coach?

Do i have to like churros to like popovich?

What you've been cheering for, many years now, has totally been the product of Les Alexander.

And all these years, the Mavs have been the product of Mark Cuban.

Do you wish we had been the Mavs all these years, with Dirk and the rest?

You think the Mavs fans are lucky compared to us?

I'm talking about Les Alexander and Mark Cuban.

    Follow me:

The Mavs are the product of Mark Cuban.

The Rockets are the product of Les Alexander.

    Which product do you prefer?

Not sure why you keep glorifying people who joined the Rox when they were on top, doesn't it mean you guys are actually bandwagon fans? Lebron for example liked the Lakers growing up because they were destroying everyone, not sure how that's any different from people like who joined during the Rox heyday esp if all you do is harp on and on about how strong the Rox were back in the day.

IMHO the fans who joined during the Chuck Hayes/Kevin Martin era are the "purest", now those guys were die-hard rox fans.
