Getting Lawson means we will be out of the running for Durant in 2016 unless the cap goes up tremendously by then.

I'm all in for Knight. If not, get a gem with the NOP pick. Durant is a higher priority than getting a quick fix PG.

Getting Durant is also an improbability. Getting a point guard has a high probability of putting our team in the 2nd round and beyond RIGHT NOW. I just don't know if Lawson is that guy.

It's an honor to speak to the Stig though. Some say that you were only a fan of English soccer/rugby teams.

I wouldn't call Ty Lawson a "quick fix." He's a really good player on a terrible team.

I rather put the team in a position where getting Durant is a possibility. Call me a pessimist, but season's lost if Dwight can't come back healthy. We might as well prepare for the future. Getting unfriendly cap hits like Lawson (who I rate highly) doesn't scream out as a typical Morey move to me.

Knight or bust. 4 hours left.

I wouldn't mind going after Lawson and screwing up the KD plan, Lawson si young, cheap and he with Harden will give the Rox the best backcourt in the league for the next decade. I hope DM pounces on this, way better option then Goran "I want a max" Dragic.

I like the KD plan as well but there are exceptions to every strategy, IMHO if you can get Lawson he's just as good a piece then a KD chase 2 years from now. Lawson is on a good contract, although you will be taking a cap hit if you get him he is really cheap on today's standards, guys like Parsons are getting paid the max, Dragic is demanding the max, Rondo is demanding the max, Reggie Jackson is demanding the max so Lawson on a 10-12M contract is really good value.

And who is to say in the two years Howard is off the salary cap and then we have all sorts of space for KD. And then we have the two pieces in place for a KD...
