What do you guys think of C Ian Mahinmi of the Pacers? Some one brought him up him on twitter last night.

I'm falling off of the Dragic wagon .... Just don't like the idea of having to give him 5 years and ~100m to keep him because of how it would affect the team in the 2016 with the cap expansion and a solid FA market - not to mention Howard having a player option which could open up even more cap space.

At this point if it is Dragic Morey is after , I'd almost prefer a rental for the rest of the season but that severely cuts into what I'm willing to give up to get him , to the point that I think someone else will give up more than the package of Shved , KPap and 2nd round picks I'm willing to deal.

The biggest problem we face is that Morey cant create a whole lot of cap space this offseason so if he is going to improve the team for next season , he pretty much has to fire that bullet at this trade deadline.

I just don't see who else is out there that can help now and next season while not blowing up your ability to be a player in 2016 FA that is attainable. There are a lot of lesser names ... but I don't think they put this team over the hump.

Cant see Morey giving up enough to get Lawson from Denver as they really have no need to move him unless the deal knocks their socks off.

Calderon from NYK .... cant play a lick of defense but fits offensively but his contract extends beyond that 2016 FA bonanza.

Collison from Sacramento ? Why would they do it and is he good enough to put you over the hump ? His contract also extends into the 2016/17 season.

Rubio ?! I've never been on that bandwagon & he just signed an extension thru the 2019 season. They don't have any reason to move him.

Milwaukee has the right to match any offer to Brandon Knight in RFA. He'd likely be costly to acquire and require a contract that extends beyond the end of next season.

The two complicating factors - improve now because of no cap space in the offseason & the 2016 cap expansion really have me scratching my head.

I think Morey should try to get Reggie Jackson as a last resort, offer them K-Pap and a couple of second rounders or Canaan and a second rounder.

This way we can retain flexibility and our young players along with H and H.

Would you guys trade Dwight straight up for Knick's unprotected pick next year at the end of the season?

Knicks are going to be looking at a LOT of capspace + need help for Melo right now. (I assume this kind of move can get them Dragic too). So Dwight, Melo, Dragic seems very solid in the east.

Rockets can get away from Dwight's knee problems and possibly get a very good player next to Harden and take the OKC route a bit. Biggest downside I see is, we'd be in semi rebuild till the Rookie becomes established + the risk the rookie doesn't turn out good.

Terry/DMo/Shved No pick/knicks pick for Bledsoe and Plumlee

Everyone gets what they want and need... Bledsoe and Harden would be up there with curry and klay

I guess, but why are we going out of our way to help the Lakers?

If Denver would take those 3 players straight up for Lawson, why make it a 4 team trade and give up an extra asset.

I agree there is zero reason to help the Lakers out at all...just my way to involving multiple teams

The Nuggets would be the recipient of the NOP pick plus rights of Sergio Llull and future 2nd rounder... as its clear they are trying to tank...

If the kings want Dragic they have no use for Collison and the Suns want to include Plumlee in the deal but the Kings have no use for another big man.

    Collison/Beverly/Canaan
    Harden/Terry/Shevd/Johnson
    Ariza/Brewer
    D-Mo/Smith/Jones
    Howard/Plumlee/Dorsey

we get a point guard and a back up big while not giving up D-Mo or T.Jones

these scenarios are fun to entertain before the deadline but one fact remains... we are too weak at point guard to survive in the post season. Jackson could be good short term as well as Lawson. Is there any good point guards available in 2016 free agency that we want to pursue?

This is actually a good deal. Collison is shooting 47% from the field and 78% from the line.

    What Jamal Crawford is available??!!!!!!

    I want Crawford over Gogi!!!!!

"While the hours leading up to the trade deadline will be an antsy time for many players around the league, it doesn't feel like that will be the case with Jamal Crawford, a 14-year NBA veteran who has played for six different teams already.

“I’ve been in trade rumors ever since I’ve been here, which is the weirdest thing,” Crawford said earlier this season. “But that’s part of the business, honestly. I can play wherever. I can play here, I would love to play here. But if not, if something happens, you move on and do what you’ve got to do.”
