All this from my friends at tha' Daily. Enjoy

McLane added that the Astros will unveil their All-Star 2004 logo on Saturday, July 26, and promised that it “will feature key characteristics of Houston.” MLB prevents future host cities from making any public announcements prior to the completion of the current season’s All-Star Game. McLane added that several local businesses have expressed interest in sponsoring next year’s event, but he did not have anything concrete to announce at this time (THE DAILY).

Chicago Sun-Times: For the first time, you're starting to talk about retirement. Do you have a timetable?

Selig: My contract ends in 2006. That's 3-1/2 years from now. I've gotten quite a reaction from a lot of owners who are unhappy about me saying that. But at that point, I'll be 72. I'll have done this job for 14 years. I really believe I accomplished much of what I set out to accomplish in terms of revenue-sharing, the economics and interleague play. There are other things in life I want to do. I've had some great teaching offers, and I may want to write a book. When I was a kid growing up, my grandmother wanted me to be a rabbi. That was never a possibility, but I did think I was going to be a history professor. I would enjoy teaching a lot.
