Forget Dragic. He wants to play in the spotlight, not under the shadow of the MVP. He's clearly not serious about winning if he'd rather go to a rebuilding team with stars aging-out rather than a team ready to compete for a championship.

With Dragic, we'd be the favorite to win it all. And yet he'd rather be in the spotlight.

    Forget him. Do not want.

Who wants to bet, that Gogi contacted Parsons to inquire about playing with James Harden and Parsons goes on an anti-Morey rant? I kind of feel that Gogi has wanted to come here up until recently. Then, he started talking to the wrong people. Maybe he even talked with Lowry or K-Mart.

We should just take the gamble and hope the payout is worth it.

Right? He will be the best offensive player on the floor, running the offense for 15 minutes a night while Beard rests. The rest of the time he is going to get to take turns with Harden playing with the ball and off the ball. The guy is smart enough to know that James will get him better shots and that James will finish the shots Dragic will get him.

Easy buckets, easy dimes all the way to the Finals playing with the Beard.

This news is a total bummer... The logic of wanting to be the "man" and the list given doesn't make a lot of sense with the Lakers, Knicks, and Heat... Is it a market thing? Is our beloved city what's keeping him away?

It sounds like his top choices are all bigger markets and are vastly inferior teams to the Rockets which would mean they're more desperate to pay him 20 mil/yr and let him dominate the ball.

Pacers are also on the list, and Gogi would make them championship contenders. So no, it's not all about bigger markets, it's about teams he believes he'll have the ball in his hands most of the time.

But they're not at the top of his list. It sounds like he's willing to play there, but he prefers LA, NY, or Miami.

The Pacers would be a good fit though. If he's fine with resigning there, then I wouldn't fault him for choosing that team over the Rockets or anyone else. They came within a game(really a LeBron last second layup) of the NBA Finals in 2013. And they were 2 games away last season. If Paul George hadn't gotten hurt during the summer, they'd obviously have a better record right now.

He would be are second option with Harden on the floor and 1st option when he's benched... 30+ min a game for a true championship team... Whatever... Hesmmade his choice an I'm rdy to lick my wounds and move on. Bring on Jarrett Jack or Ty Lawson!

I never trust stuff like this. Could be Phoenix trying to drive up the price. Now that everybody knows they have to trade Dragic, Phoenix is trying to get the bids back up since they plummeted after Dragic saying he wouldn't re-sign.

No one has seen this "list". Doc Rocket is claiming the list doesn't even exist. All we know is Indiana is a place he's willing to re-sign, that's all.

Out of LA, NY and Miami, only NY is a place I see that is questionable. Miami is pretty good and can make noise in the playoffs with Bosh/Wade/Dragic/Whiteside. I can never question LA's ability to rebuild, they've proven countless times. Only NY is a big question mark, but a team with Melo and Dragic will make noise, especially in the east.

If Gogi goes to Indiana, though, he makes them instant title contenders.

Celtics have FOUR unprotected draft picks, which makes Houston's one pick seem paltry.

But he doesn't want to be the second option to Harden, that's why he's leaving PHX, he wants the ball in his hands. Also, it's obvious he doesn't like Morey's tactics, so we need to take that into account.

All of this "inside information" from guys like Stein are things different parties (agents, GMs, etc) want leaked.

It's not like some rogue staffer is in the war room secretly leaking information to Stein.

So you have to think about the motive behind leaking information since they are doing it on purpose.

Detroit is taking Miami's 8th spot in the EC. Even with Dragic the Miami roster is DNP - too old.

Consider me crazy but I don't know if I want to commit $100M to a guy who is willing to demand a trade from a team with playoff hopes in exchange for getting moved to a team with some of the worst records in the league.

Miami throws out a Pu Pu Platter of Chalmers/Cole/Napier at PG every night. A legit PG would transform that team overnight.

Soooooooo...........let's see if they offer an unprotected pick that has any chance of being a top 10 lottery pick.
