I think Morey is still going to try and get Gogi and convince him to resign here. His philosophy when we were after Dwight the first time (before Harden) was that if they could trade for Dwight, they could convince him to stay. It will be a gusty move to move the NOP pick for a player without interest of resigning but if Gogi plays well here (which he should if he really wants a max contract) and the Rockets make it to the WCF, plus we would have his bird rights, it might be a risk Morey is willing to take. Even if Dragic does leave, we only surrendered a 1st and maybe Jones in the end of it all. We still have Harden, Howard, Ariza, etc.
I don't blame him for wanting to be the "man", but if you're Morey, you don't go after Dragic. It's clear he has an agenda and would only be disruptive to the team's current chemistry.
Per Woj: Could Goran be applying reverse psychology here? He tells PHX he wants to leave, but whatever you do, please DO NOT SENT ME TO HOUSTON BECAUSE THEY ARE MEAN AND TREAT ME LIKE AN ASSET! The spurned Suns then trade Goran to Houston in anger.
Just like Knight with the Bucks I don't see any reason why the Wolves woild trade Rubio. But if we somehow landed him and kept Dmo I would absolutely love it
The Rockets, always a factor at the deadline, are aggressively pursuing a deal with Phoenix for point guard Goran Dragic, league sources say. Such a deal would likely center around Rockets guard Patrick Beverley; otherwise, Dragic, a prospective free agent, would be stuck in the same three-guard rotation that he finds himself involved with in Phoenix. While rival executives remain convinced that the Suns prefer to move Isaiah Thomas out of their three-headed backcourt, they may not have a choice. A league source confirmed that Dragic's agent, Bill Duffy, informed the Suns Tuesday night that he would not re-sign with Phoenix this summer. And the Rockets are not on Dragic's short list of teams to which he prefers to be traded, the source said. -Speaking of the 20-33 Nuggets, they're in full-on firesale mode. Rival execs say virtually everyone is available, with Ty Lawson and Wilson Chandler (with only $2 million guaranteed next season) registering the most interest. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/writer...uzz-uncertainty-reigns-as-deadline-approaches
Amick & Woj are saying he wants out of Phoenix DocRocket is claiming he's playing everyone and will re-sign with the Suns. "Cyberx, paging cyberx ...."
I can't believe people would still want to trade for Dragic if he doesn't want to be here. No way I'm giving up a T Jones or a D-Mo plus the NO pick for a guy that has pretty much told you he will leave at the end of the year. He also wants to be the man which will never happen on this team. If all the reports are true he's better off somewhere else other than Houston.

Dragic driving the price down for Rockets by not having them on the list. Only teams listed are ones with no assets to trade. Daryl can say..."For a 3 month rental?" to Suns demands for Gogi
